    Somehow you have to think that the system has some flawed logic behind the calculations as there is no possible England are the 3rd best team in the world when they havent even reached the last 4 of a major competition for nearly 2 decades
    Brazil at 13 is just as dumb but for opposite reasons

    Brazil have not been at their best recently with defeats to Mexico and Argentia - however not sure they weren't playing the Olympic Squad in warm up matches.

    I knew for absolute certain you would respond like this. I wish I had put some money on it. The rankings system is a complete joke Phil and I am struggling to see any defence for it.

    Go on then lets humour you for a few moments
    A computer program is only as good as the human that wrote the software and even you must admit that humans make mistakes
    some humans devised a model for ranking football teams - the fact that it shows England as the 3rd best team when we all know that in a tournament we wouldnt get past the last 8 means that the model they devised is wrong.

    Or do you have a better explanation for the fact that England as the "4th" best side in the world entering the final stages of a European competion were outplayed by the side now ranked 6th in the world and failed to get beyond the last 8 as usual.

    If the top teams in the world played a league system do you genuinely believe England and Uraguay would finish above Italy Brazil and Argentina?

    Just because it's a computer system doesn't make it infallible, infact anything but. Like Farnham said, it's only as good as the people who devise it.
    Were you affected by the RBS/NatWest issues? When people were seeing that there was nothing in their account when they knew otherwise? I take it if you were one of those you must have said "oh, I'm mistaken, I thought I had money but I don't!"

    I doubt he was affected by those issues, all his money comes from the Bank of Mum and Dad.

    Anyway HT - do you consider Denmark to be a better team than Brazil?
