    Who are you arguing with?

Mario isn't here. In all probability he's gone to bed.

We were asked which we preferred, the Olympics or the Euros. Everyone else has clearly stated their preference. But you haven't bothered with that and just decided to give someone a lecture. Why is that?

    Mmmm Let's see now.

A bunch of sports men and women who have trained hard for four years without recognition, sweated blood and shed tears all in the name of representing their country in a sporting movement that truely extols the real value of sport or a bunch of overpaid, cheating, social misfits that leech money out of a once noble working mans sport, who believe celebrity is far more important than real talent, who believe that their own gross (in both terms) income is more important than anything else, utter utter scumbags.

No, I'm at a loss to make a decision on that one.

Do you know how much cheating goes on in football, match fixing, spread betting, diving on the pitch,Feigning injury...

Footballers have been shown up this summer. Brilliant.

    Re: Mmmm Let's see now.

    4 years.

A footballer has to train hard for a lot more than 4 years to break in to a first team.

How do you actually know what footballers are like or any other sports men.
The guys in football have had to try hard at 10/11/12/12/13/14.....

Exactly what was it about my post that was illogical Phil? From an English perspective the Euros were hardly a success were they and once you stop living in premier league fantasy land you will see that the wages that the players are getting are obscene. Why do you keep quoting athletes like Bolt as earning a fortune? Firstly two wrongs don't make a right and secondly it's a small proportion of athletes, it's not an epidemic like it is in football where poor players are earning a kings ransom. And as for cheating I can't believe you've compared the two, I really can't. The badminton cheats were punished - the players would consider it a severe punishment. Cheating is rife in football and goes unpunished week after week after week. Do you not consider teams like Rangers and Pompey to have cheated? What about all the diving, gamesmanship and play acting? Do you really just blindly worship footballers or do you just like to play the controversial card because you have nothing better to do?

    Germany v Austria

Have you forgotten Germany v Austria in the 1982 World Cup when they manufactured a 1-0 win for Germany so they both qualified and Algeria lost out? (You're probably too young - look it up on Wikipedia). Cheating of the highest order, neither team tried after the first goal and these two were supposedly fierce rivals. They were playing the system to their advantage but unlike the Badminton teams, neither of them were thrown out. So who has the higher morals FIFA or the Olympic Badminton Federation?

Yes because athletes and fellow Olympians only train when their is an Olympics due then you clown. Yo do realise they have been doing their chosen sports since they were youngsters too don't you?

I enjoyed the Euros, but the Olympics has been brilliant. Loved every minute of it.
