Tears in eyes. Amazing. Bolt run 300m for his golds. Mo ran 15000m for his.

Wasn't sure he'd do it after his exertions in the 10,000 metres, but obviously his daughter isn't as heavy as she looks!

Speaking of which, I bet the sight of Denise Lewis bending over in that tight pink frock sent thy pulse racing n'all, dinnit Kev?

    Legend

Gimme a distance runner over sprinting every time.

Comes across as a modest, down to earth, hard working guy.

Unbelievable week for him, GB athletics and the nation as a whole.

His missus seemed unhappy with him for summat though.

I wouldn't take anything away from the brilliant Bolt, but to beat the east africans at 5 & 10000 metres is an equally brilliant achievement.

    Re: Legend

He was born in Somalia, but if all u have to do is be born there to win the 5 & 10000 metres we would have a few candidates.

His training partner who is a white american came second if you remember. Credit where credit is due, but some of u lot couldn't string a positive sentence if your life depended on it.

    Re: Legend

I'm very positive about it, he's a proper Brit and a great Londoner. It's a question of genetics. As many of the great sprinters are of West African origin whether they be Afro-Carribean or Afro-Americans. There was an interesting feature on BBC looking at the subject, it was John Inverdale so he fannied around the issues a bit but worth a watch if you can find it on iplayer.:)

    Re: Legend

Who hasn't been positive about his performance? This is a thread full of people saying how well he's done and you reply to it saying that people aren't positive. And I thought I was thick.
