    I won't be attending, unfortunately.

I'll probably be in Skipton, at an auction until tea time, and tbh, I met Don on Saturday and he eased a few fears of mine, as well as coming across as a decent fella doing his best.

I'm sorry if this doesn't sit well with a few on here, but I've decided to just concentrate my efforts in supporting/backing the club, and leave the rest to those in charge, who have the club's best interests at heart.

*I do however reserve the right to moan and whinge on occasion. I'm a football supporter, after all.

I think it is those that do nothing but bairn about the club and Don that need to attend to raise their 'concerns' and give Don the right to reply but I bet they won't. I am hoping to be there too but work may stop me however I am have a similar view to you regarding the club and the running of it.

I was stood outside reception at Spotland, waiting for my mate, when out came The Don, who seemed to recognise me (no idea how) and asked what I though to the game. We had a little chat about finances, and how much a good cup run could lift the club, as well as a few offers the club will be having this season.

His last words were - "and remember to tell your friends" which would have been great advice but I have no friends.

Also had a quick chat with Barry Taylor, but that was more about the game rather than owt else.

Fair play to both of em though, as they both could have just walked past me, I didn't ask em to stop. But they went out of their way to, and that was a pleasant surprise.

he has a right of reply on here, we don't have to attend 'An audience with The Don'....he needs to log on as 'The Don' and off he goes...easy peasy.

In fairness, people don't "need" to do owt. If anyone needs to do owt it's the club.

I actually met The Don once. It was during a dismal home performance against Norwich City in the 06/07 season. I had left my ST at home and had to pay on the day - if I then took the stub I would recieve a refund minus a five pound "admin" charge. Obviously I complained about this and went to see The Don after. He was a bit argumentative at the time but he came round and ended up giving me the refund. He phoned my house and spoke to my Mother who thought he was a lovely bloke and he said "your son is a very pleasant young man". His words. All's well that ends well.

I can't vouch for his ability as a general manager, but as a fella, he 'seemed' a decent bloke.

He may be good at managing the club on a shoestring but the bloke is a PR disaster. The FA Cup ticket debacle, category coding debacle, selling off everything from the catering to the club shop & mecrahndising. He comes across as ten-ton and arrogant. Having supported the club and spent a fortune watching them donkeys years before he came along, I didn't like the way he was so dismissive of the charity event we were having. Like it or not, Sheffield United never fail to produce a couple of complimentary tickets for charities - costs peanuts even if they might get skanked occasionally. A bit of good will costs nothing Don and you've soured its standing amongst my work colleagues.

And if you're not happy with the what the club is doing then take the opportunity to raise it with them. I hope I'm wrong but I bet none of the habitual moaners turn up.

Don Rowing is very approachable and a nice guy too. However I always found Mr Spinks the total opposite,in my opinion of course.

I'd be quite negative if I found out I had HIV?!

All I'm saying is I would have taken the money for Done. If we Etuhu and Silva who can play in his position we could take the money and buy a half decent defender or holding midfielder.

    Good point (hiv).

I think Done is worth keeping, developing. But each to their own. Especially without JOB for the next couple of months.

We definitely need another center half, unless we play Hassell at RB, and move Stones inside.

No, we need another center half, perhaps two.
