Enjoy the ride mate, footballs all about ups and downs but not worth getting depressed about. You'll make yerself badly.
Games of the proverbial two halves both of them, calm down I'm sure you'll find even more negative things this season look at today.... Marlon Harewood....he must be a to**er if an ambitionless s***e club like us have signed him!!
Calm down. I'm still laughing at your comment when you said that of the 68(!) Football League clubs our income was easily in the bottom third.
Are you talking about the FL or the FL and the PL? Attendances are an indicator but the L1 clubs receive about £2m less in TV money so need some pretty decent attendances to bridge that particular gap.
As you surely must have understood I include the PL.Only two clubs in the championship had worse attendances than us,and 5 in league 1 had more, and of those in league 1 quite a few who didn't match our attendances have higher prices than we do
The first half of the league season... which includes to the home defeat against blackpool had us keeping 5 clean sheets and being goalless 6 times. The second half of the season, including the Leeds home game onwards, we were goalless 12 times and kept 3 clean sheets. Would it be good to concede less goals and keep more clean sheets, yes. Is it the sole responsibility of the defence to defend when we don't have the ball, no.
Here they are Conan http://www.football-league.co.uk/page/DivisionalAttendance/0,,10794~20117,00.html
What are you proving with this post, Conan? I went to both of those games, and 'incidents' cost us the game. At Cardiff, we were blown away in the first half by some pretty ****-hot play by the hosts. By the time we'd got it together, it was too late. Both Edwards and Doyle were God-awful that day though. And Andy Gray was pretty non-existent. Against Ipswich, we played them off the park in the first half, despite their bully-boy tactics, often unnoticed by the referee (same ref as this past weekend at Rochdale). In the second half, Ipswich scored pretty much instantly, with a fine hit from Andrews, and the lads never recovered. Ipswich bullied us, and not one tarn player put a shift in from 60 minutes onward. Although, every shot they had did seem to go in. One of those freak events. A bit like us at Peterbro, where IMO they were the better side for large periods but everything we hit went in for us. Dunno what point you were proving.
I just thought I'd show that we were still conceding goals with our best midfield so for Pep to say it's not about the defence is clearly ********.
