Kamara has predicted this every year since we came back up.....the only thing that worries me is that the law of averages might eventually give the di**head reason to think he was right all along!!..........Jacob Butterfield free!!...cheap but not free...what a w****r

Not sure why Kamara should attract this sort of abuse.

Let's face it - we stayed up last season due to Portsmouth's misdeeds. The players we have signed this Summer are interesting, but it can't be denied they all seem to come with some sort of baggage. This will provide a further test of Keefy's management skill in terms of straightening them out - just like he did with RVT. Whatever you think of Kammy it's going to be down to the wire for us. Keefy said it's about survival again in the meeting on Monday. Hopefully we'll again punch above our weight and have a bit of fun along the way (in addition to the double over Leeds again).

If Kamara is saying it then I'm really worried now.

Not true but I suppose if people say it enough times some people might start to believe it.

He clearly suffers from Barnsley bitterness along with Don Goodman.

He's not liked us since Glyn Hodges was (rightly) given the boot.

The man's a clown, anyhow. Famous for being incompetent.

Maybe he predicts us to go down (like any other season), because we've flirted with relegation every season since promotion?! Just a thought. . . . .

How is it untrue? We got the 3rd worst points in the league, its just that Pompey's misdeeds meant they were deducted 10pts.

    Star man - Jim McNulty.

Excellent research. Mind, this is the "pundit" who got the score wrong in a game he was supposed to be covering.

Because Pompey only got that many points because they were paying players money they couldn't afford, including outbidding us on wages for Jason Pearce who was their player of the season. The points they accumulated where through breaking the rules and consequently they were deducted points. If they hadn't overspent they would have gone down. Plus if we'd have signed Jason Pearce it is highly likely we would have got more points (great player).

Rod Liddle has predicted the same, but as he says, he did last season and the one before as well.

I always thought he was a pr.ick but Jim McNumpty star man proved I was wrong and he actually is a pri.ck.

He's never liked Barnsley since we did the double over Leeds in 90/91

People who say "if they hadn't overspent they would have gone down" are completely speculating.

It is a fact, unfortunately, that we accumulated the third worst points total in the league last season through results.

Because had Pompey not cheated and played with a team they could afford the whole season could have been different - we might have played differently in the last few games, we might have taken six points from them, they might have finished bottom of the league. All ifs and buts but to say we would have gone down if they hadn't been deducted ten points is too simplistic and doesn't account for other factors that could have changed the destiny of other teams.

    How's the cricket anyway?
