had a read of Owlstalk over the weekend, best comment "we have the best travelling support in England if not the world", and this wasn't said in a comical sense, this is after they took 6,000 down to Derby on the 30 minute train ride. No-one's ever took that type of numbers away.... their support is nothing special, they only averaged under 25k the last few season's in the top flight, if they returned in the near future they wouldn't be in the top 10 best supported sides in the Prem.

Ps they had 2,000 empty seats in the North Stand last time they came to Oakwell.

Oh and quick edit....that "if you don't f*cking bounce then you're a blade" is the gayest fooking footy song in world football, and you look a **** doing it, especially the fat one - Tango.

In a PorkTalk thread currently, they are discussing fans of clubs they dislike.

Here's a pearler of a response, ironic if nothing else....

'Definitely Leeds. 99% of Leeds fans I've met are incredibly obnoxious and have delusions of grandeur. They seem to think they're one of the biggest clubs in Europe.'

Thing is Leeds got in Europe on a regular basis, not in the **** cup for one season either. I can cope with Leeds fans having that attitude (although dislike the Champions of Europe ballax) they used to get 35k plus most home games, Champions League Semi's, won the league title in recent history etc etc, The pigs have won one trophy in 70 odd years, play in a rusty old stadium thats not had a new stand built since the 66 World Cup and got very average attendances in the Prem.

Deluded doesn't explain it enough.

Look at us now with a squad full of promising youngsters with potential, desire and pride in wearing the shirt. Players that are riding the cusp of a wave so MASSIVE that it dwarfs many other clubs sailing ships as it goes.

They're going barmy over the fact they've had dealings with a club like Barcelona and how this really shows they are going places. Imagine if we'd have been the same because we'd had dealings with a club like Manchester United over Norwood and Liverpool over Silva!!

Really hope the lad is a flop and the next Di Piedi. And can't wait to quieten them down when they come to Oakwell.

When I first heard about them signing a Barca B player I was impressed... for them. However 1 goal in 5 in Liga adelante is hardly pulling up trees is it?

 

You do know that if Barnsley had signed him, there would have been the same reaction to it by our fans as there is by theirs? To a championship club, getting ANY player from Barca is a great signing, I actually applaud them for getting him. Whether he is any good, that is a different kettle of fish!!

Barcelona have sent a player to the Pigs to gain experience? I would have thought that massive club down the road would be sending their fringe players to gain some experience at an inferior club like Barcelona.

They scraped a point at Derby, you know. Massive club though.
