Both Golbourne and Davis named i agree with Goldbourne but suprised if there wasnt a better performance from a diffrent striker.

Pedantry aside, I thought Davies was excellent Saturday, and would look better if he had somebody who was even half fit up top with him.

Well deserved, if somewhat surprising, bet the journos were expecting to pick three or four boro players

For me, Davies was rather lazy, and his touch was poor, however if he scores the winning goal, then i'm happy.

I thought Harewood did a lot of work upfront and as a result rarely managed to get into a scoring position himself.

    I must've been at a different game

Jonathan Woodgate was struggling at times to contain Craig Davies. It got to the point when, after being brushed aside physically, Woodgate even failed to stop him when trying to pull him back by his shirt. Added to that, Davies would've scored a hat trick were it not for two superb saves from Steele, which helped keep Boro in the game. Both our strikers were working hard for the team, in my view.
    Opinions and all that, mate.:D

Agree with that, thought Davies had an excellent game. One criticism though, he needs to look for assists at times rather than shooting, couple of occasions he could have passed to Harewood and another to Etuhu, Harewood in particular didn't look happy with him. If he can make the right decision more often the team will benefit.

I read that yesterday and was surprised no-one had mentioned it.
While everyone in the stands could tell Davies played better with another striker up front with him. he was either on his own or a winger and as Hill now says , he aint either of them!!
Well done Keith for saying you were wrong, but if you had admitted it last season he might have had 20 goals and we would have been sitting pretty in mid table. Maybe sometimes Hill needs to leave Flicker at pitch side and watch a game from the stand, because things do look a lot different when you can see the whole pitch and not just the near side to the dug out, or maybe I am wrong.

I suppose it's all opinions, and perhaps perspective archey, but for me he put a good shift in, won his fair share of headers and worked the channels well. Looked a genuine championship quality centre forward.

Harewood for me was patchy and looked well short of the required fitness, but that will come and I'm sure the quality is still there.

Mido to come if he gets fit, potentially a potent front line with an option or two
