Only on a short term deal at Portsmouth and was outstanding tonight against a very good Bournemouth side.

I know Bournemouth wouldn't last two minutes in the Championship but would fancy Howard in our midfield as I do think he still has what it takes.

    Your thoughts?

Also glad to see that we never re-signed Miles Addison. He is absolute s**t. Played centre half and didn't look good against an average Izale McLeod.

I would, no doubt. He is still only 29 so plenty to offer.

He'd score a couple of goals, get the media attention and think he's good enough to leave little old Barnsley for the Premiership again. He blew his chance.

Of course, absolutely have him back!

As much as I like Keith Hill, I don't think he'd touch Howard unfortunately.

I wouldn't have him back. Done nothing at a number of different clubs since leaving us, says it all that a championship club didn't take a punt on him in the summer, we have enough midfielders etc.

Brian Howard resurrecting Brettas Park social club with Mellis and Etuhu

    Ben Alnwick the doorman.

No, can't see a problem at all.

I saw the game last night, and admittedly, Brian looked trim and indeed ran the show for Admin FC. His goal was top drawer.

But do I think he's any better than Mellis? No. Do I think at 29 years old he's going to improve? No. Wheras Mellis 'could' improve.

I still believe that Cywka will be a central player, behind the forwards, once we get some wide players back. And he looks a proper player, too.

Brian Howard would be a decent option, ability wise. And as a free agent, who seemed to be begging to come back this summer, I'm sure King Keith/Flicker will have considered him. Which means they didn't fancy him, and so that's that.

Not a chance, i would rather we play with 10 men on the pitch each week than have that little cretin anywere near our football club. it iritates me to see him swanning round tarn on a night hiding behind bouncers!!
