I know we only recently had our meeting with Don but there is a Suporters Trust Fans Forum meeting at Oakwell Legends Suite at 7pm tomorrow evening. We also have a meeting with Don before hand. If anyone has a question they would like to raise either post it here or PM me.
There's loads of new schools opened in Town recently (Netherwood at Wombwell, Holy Trinity up Carlton and Horizon on Dodworth Road) - have we approached these RE ticketing schemes? Loads of new teachers recruited, new gaffers so we can't really use the excuse of they wouldn't organise it. Her indoors started at Holy Trin and is well up for arranging visits if she can get hold of tickets etc. Sithi.
I'm guessing on recent events there will be less questions people want answering so the guy should get praised for lowering ticket prices for two upcoming home games and getting a number of youngsters on long term contracts. All I can think of is...... 1) We have four years left with Lindleys for the catering contract but surely there is a clause in there which means we can get rid of them if we are unhappy with them, which many fans are. 2) Any news on new contracts for those out of contract end of this season like Sir Bobby, Luke Steele, Matty Done etc?
Even if the schools are not willing to organise trips etc (as per the usual excuse given by The Don) why not hand each school so many tickets which they can use as prizes for children. So an example might be each kid that has 100% attendance in a half/full term receives an adult and child ticket thus putting the onus on the parents to take them to the games
And a quick question : Is money for hill to strengthen the squad if need be in January ? We've lost key players in January over the last few years - have we prepared for this in this January's window
A few questions for Donald: Here we go: (1) Have you ever tried the "wheelbarrow" position, and if so - what are your thoughts? (2) What is your choice of spread on his toast? (3) Donald, can you moonwalk? (4) If a tree falls down in a wood, and Scuunthorpe United get relegated again - but nobody hears ... are we signing a centre half? (5) Do lesbian sheep exist? (6) The universe is over 12 billion years old. Is this the same age as your suits? (7) Would you like to purchase one of my children? (8) Are you the reev thingy? (9) Can you lend me £50? Like Dirk, I'm a bit short this week. (10) We seem to have some very talented youngsters at the club. What are you doing to keep the kiddy fiddlers away? That's all I can think of right now.
Mr Rowing, how hard can it be to sell the naming rights for the stands? And if (for some reason) the club us unable to sell the stand names, why don't we name the stand after Oakwell legends?
Gally please ask him - "Is it possible to fill the corners in at Oakwell ???? I don't mean seats, I was thinking a very basic structure to keep the noise in Oakwell to 'box' the atmosphere in somehow ????? rather than the wind just blowing through all the corners (disabled stand apart) heavy duty tarpaulin perhaps on a basic structure ???? cheers
to the Boat - do you actually think you are doing a good job at attempting to increase the footfall and Oakwell
get that empty west used...15 quid for adults, school kids accompanied by adults free.... school kids going on their own/with mates a fiver.
What happened to the flags/banners from the Wembley and Millennium stadium games? Do the club still have them and if so could they be stretched out over the empty seating in the west stand or something? Why do children and adults have to go through separate turnstyles? Is it too much to ask that turnstyle operators make two piles of tickets to hand in instead of one? Is it down to a lack of trust in the turnstyle operators? And if so does this explain why no discounts are accepted on the turnstyles? There is no consistency with the TV's in the concourses. One week they're on, the next they're off, sometimes some are on and some are off. When they are on they could be showing sky sports one week, and a shot of the grass growing on the pitch the week after. What is the clubs actual policy with the TV's? Should they be on or off? What should they be showing? With the new deal with Acorn perhaps now is the perfect time to say once and for all what will be shown on the TVs. Live games every week? Get the punters in early. Why has the shop in the east stand been sat empty every game so far? If we are not going to use the shop have we contacted anyone about renting out the space on matchdays to someone who will? Babies have been sat on the exposed balcony in the players corner area. What is your view on this with regards to health and safety? Does Barry Taylor actually do anything? The new official website doesn't work. A lot of users have commented that it is almost impossible to use and whilst it may look nice and pretty it is a nightmare to actually use it. I have stopped viewing the official website completely because of this, has have others. Considering that the club makes money from visitors to the official site what is being done to solve this problem which is annoying for fans and costly for the club? And for Guy Proctor We recently sent our players abroad to train in hot weather. How exactly did this prepare our players for the forthcoming british winter? We have had a lot of injuries straight after coming back from the earlier mentioned foreign training camp which was supposed to make our players the fittest they've ever been. Was the vacation a failure?
