odd turn of phrase "Billy Watson, 26, who lives opposite where the man fell, saw the body ‘all twisted up’ and believed it belonged to someone of Albanian or Moroccan origin." Does your body belong to you like a briefcase or a pair of trainers?
Likely to have already been dead and fell out when the landing gear was opened on approach. The gear housing isn't pressurised and would have been freezing (-60 degrees centigrade at 30,000ft).
Re: odd turn of phrase In Billy's world it does. Of course in Billy's world Albanian & Moroccan are the only options. I think Billy likes prozzies & weed.
Re: odd turn of phrase Depends if you believe that we are all just spirits that inhabit a body for the time that body is functioning and then we move on to the next life so whilst we inhabit our current bodies they do indeed 'belong' to us. Man.
Re: odd turn of phrase Why did the author feel the need to add this bit? The Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race, which starts four miles away in Putney, has finished at Mortlake for every race but three since 1845. The average property value in the area is £732,000 and trains to London Waterloo take 25 minutes. Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...illegal-immigrant-stowaway.html#ixzz264bTnveJ
Re: odd turn of phrase To show how those illegal immigrant stowaways, especially the dark ones always go for the posh areas that your average white working white man who is white can't afford.
Re: odd turn of phrase I thought the same, l thought he'd disrupted the start of the race or something but the race was months ago.
Re: odd turn of phrase He was excellent, you get the impression that he's a genuine bloke an'all. In vip area - 2 bints in front of us got through 2 bottles of wine each whilst he was on. They were ******* battered, husbands towing like **** to get them out at the end.
Re: odd turn of phrase Not only is it irrelevant its also incorrect Trains to Waterloo take about 15 mins and thats only because they are slow stoppers - its much closer to Waterloo than that. and I am not sure what the point is - you can get to Waterloo from Woking in 25 mins and that is much further out cant be arsed to look if he has house prices correct and I dont happen to know that one
Re: odd turn of phrase Whered ya go to see him? I went to Nottingham wi ar rass. Sober though which spoiled it a little. He wasnt as good as Micky Flanagan though who was immense when I saw him recently
Re: odd turn of phrase Notts too. Like the little bits I've seen of him, dunno if I'd sit through a show. Miserable lovely person that I am.
Re: odd turn of phrase He's quality you daft git so why would you not? You are indeed a miserable lovely person then.
