    We don't want to be selling our local lads, who have supported the club from being kids. We need to build a team to challenge for the top, and only sell players if they want to leave for more dosh.

    They can fook right off. If Crewe can get six million for an inexperienced kid with 4th division experience there is no way we should even consider this offer if there is any truth in it.

    They'd ruin him. John Terry is a big enough reason alone not to go anywhere near that club. Luckily, Stones appears to have a very sensible and rational head on those young shoulders - unlike some we won't mention.... Jacob Butterfield.

    Club should not even consider any offers for him, he's on a 3 year deal do develop him and let him play week in week out. His value will only go up and if team is doing well in future he may want to stay and play football. How many other players have left Oakwell and there careers have gone downward e.g. Howard, Bogdanovic and I feel it will be the same for Butterfield for a couple of years.

    A big factor in stones staying with us apart from his love of bfc, would be the trust and relationship he has with Keith. I don't know if anyone else has noticed but after every game they both hug each other and walk off arm around shoulder. It would seem like a father-son sort of thing. I feel stones really enjoys working under Keith and flicker.

    £10m and they might be nearer the real value given what other young english potential has gone for. This lad is class. Will go to the very top. Not for sale anyway.

    I wouldn't sell this kid for less than 5 million + lots of add on's now, I think he is that good. We really need to get big money for this kid, but only after he has had 2 full good seasons with us in this league.

    Id take £2 million for him now, because it'll be a million or more, then what we will get for him when he leaves. don't forget who we have brokering deals for us, also on the other side of the coin, i remember the same sort of comments made about another Penistone 18 year old at S6 not so long ago, he failed to train on, and turned out to be nothing more then a decent championship defender, so don't be getting too carried away with this lad, also i realise he could end up another Kyle Walker but he's a long way to go yet

    This ones easy.. £6m plus..

    usual increments of number of games played, National call-up. and here's the clincher, Loaned backed to us at no cost until end of the season, and then first option to us to loan him again for the forthcoming season should he not make their first team.
    When the transfer window reopens of course.

    Transfer window is shut so as I understand things they cant sign him intil January. If he playeed for Leeds Huddersield or even Rotherham £2 million would be laughed at but dont forget we are seen as a soft touch for negotiaton and I can imagine Don would see £2million now as good business - he might get more in a year or 2 or he might do a RNL and get nowt. can imagine if its a serious offer Don biting their hands off - hope I am very wrong though - we need to keep him and develp him - maybe sell him in a couple of years when he has proved himself and get some serious money for him - and hope he goes to a side other than CHelsea Not sure I would want John Terry and Ashley Cole to be the guys to bring him on.

    Thing is with any player is do you take a half decent offer when it comes or wait till one of 4 things happens:
    1) he gets injured servery and misses lots of games or ends his carrier. Devaluing him
    2) he runs out of contract knows clesea, man u, city etc etc are sniffing and goes to them for next to nothing (I know he's signed a 3 year contract so some way of this yet)
    3) he simply looses form and goes for less that 2mil to league 1
    4) he delvolpes becomes a fantastic player (likely) and we keep him aiding up in our bid for promotion or we sell him for nearer 10mil

    If an offer comes for 2mil were we still loan him for a season. It's harder to decide than some people are making out. Footballs a gamble. Are we financial stable enough to gamble? that's the question.
