Only seen the home games this year but it's looked perfectly sound to me. Didn't go tonight but the defence didn't sound shaky on the commentary. A team that played in the Premier League last season with numerous multi-million pound players scored two good goals. The problem tonight seemed to be that we didn't convert our chances. Maybe if we had it would have knocked the stuffing out of them and they wouldn't have gone on to score.

for me the correct description is it looks perfectly sound most of the time. In too many games we present the opposition with 2 or 3 really good chances if we get away with them we look good, if not.................Now I know at our level you are not going to get perfection and good teams will create chances but we genuinely present the opposition with unneccessary chances either by leaving players unmarked or by misplaced passes

You're right. The people coming on here moaning about the defence tonight when they didn't even see the game is laughable. The back four played well tonight. We should have done better for the first goal, but their second one was a good one. The problem for us was running out of steam for the last 20 minutes, but there's no way Daggers and Mellis could have continued at the pace they were going. They ran their socks off. Harewood and Etuho were very poor when they came on and Harewood missed an absolute sitter at 1-1. The first half was the best we've played all season and we still had plenty of chances in the second. In all though it was a very encouraging performance. Who knows, if we'd have sneaked a 2-1 win Hill might have been managing Blackburn this time next week!

commentators on Player blamed the defence for both goals, they watched replays and continued to blame the defense. They said defending for second goal was awful.

Maybe fans are taking that view.

I saw replays in the ground, the defending could have been better on both.

Both goals were poor defensively but if we had converted just half of our chances we'd have won the game regardless.

Sounded like your lover was buzzing about all over the place. Radio Sheffield were well impressed with his work rate, really talked him up.

My only criticism at the moment is that Keith seems a bit eager to substitute Craig Davies. For me he's by far our most dangerous player. I always feel like we've got a goal in us when he's on the pitch. Keith obviously sees summat different like, and he's much more knowledgeable than me, but I don't think taking him off in the last two games has done us any favours. Summat and nowt I suppose, we're doing much better than I imagined.

Got to agree. Said tonight that you need to leave your best goalscorer on, problem was he looked f.cked so needed fresh legs on.

And Daggers was just Daggers. Wouldn't have scored if still laiking nar but I love him.

Jay you're spot on about Davies, we said the same thing at the game tonight. We couldn't understand why he made the change and IMHO it was a change that arguably cost us the game. Harewood was gash when he came on.
