He got a point though, £16,000000 a year for the next 4 years. what could Keith Hill do with that sort of money.

I've got Shipperley up front in my all-time greatest BFC XI, so I'm with you on that.

However, Daggers is better than Jones. His assist for Mellis' goal Tuesday night was Messi-esque.
Has to be on 'Showboat' on Soccer AM this weekend. Where we're also doing the Crossbar Challenge, again. Then beating Brum. Awesome.

Re: one vitally important change that nobody has mentioned....

If true that is scandalous. I've not heard anything about it but I would not be surprised if the PL did something like this on the quiet.

In my opinion, any parachute paymenst should be simply to allow the relegated team to continue to pay EXISTING CONTRACTS and not to be able to re-invest in new players at high transfer prices/lucrative contracts, exactly as Blackburn have done.

This common-sense approach would allow clubs to keep their heads above water (which is the real defintion of parachute payments) and stop favouring the relegated clubs from major player re-investment that the majority of the Championship teams do not have the funds to compete with.

All boils down to football, as a business, does not follow normal rules.

What's the worst.............football or banking industry?

I can only suppose that this is to get worse too , as pointed out , parachute payments are increasing year on year, the re distribution of monies not required by a team relegated and subsequently promoted has stopped too

turkeys arent going to start voting for christmas any time soon and premier league charmen are not going to vote to stop parachute payments.

All designed to create a closed shop to the Premier league - or as near as they can without actually doing away with relegation.
