...........and I for one will be sad to see them go

As for Pat........if Leeds have got a statue of Billy Bremner.........we need a statue (or summert similar) of Pat Cryne, because without him we wouldn't have a club.
And if we didnt have a club then we would live in a town much poorer than what it currently is.
Keeping Barnsley Football Club in the Championship also keeps the town of Barnsley on the business map of the country and the world.

We owe a lot to Pat for that.

As far as a new owner is concerned - the quicker they can take over the better.
The club has been starved of funding for years and as a consequence of this there has been a steady drift away of the support.
An injection of funds - and it dosent need much, it just needs enough to make Barnsley more competitive in the transfer market, would and should see us knocking on the door of the Premeirship

ESPECIALLY IF KEITH HILL AND FLICKER STAY AT THE CLUB.
Do not throw the baby out with the bath water

It would be beneficial if the new owners could continue with the present directors with the addition of John Dennis. The more local input there is in the board room the more likely the business of Barnsley Football Club will be a success.

PS........please dont start slagging John Dennis. We know at the end he made a balls of the transition from one owner to the other. But everything, other than the West Stand, you see when you walk into the WELL was built by the Dennis family. Plus, we signed some very good players under the stewardship of John Dennis........Craig Hignett for starters

As long as by 'statue' you mean 'flammable effigy', I'm right with you on the Doyle idea.
