Can you give us some examples where foreign ownership has brought success? And please, don't include Chelsea and Man City in that list because that's not going to be the kind of take-over we get.

    Blackburn - relegated
    Portsmouth - gone
Birmingham - not filed any accounts for years, owner in jail, 13k turning up to home games. Pants.
Watford - lets get Zola in who couldn't run a bath at West Ham and then get the Seria 'A' under 19's playing for us, scrap our youth academy while we're at it (going for tier 4 - wow) after a long tradition of producing our own players.
Forest - too early to judge.
    Cardiff - ditto
Hull - ditto, although the way they treated Barmby is typical of these owners.
    Villa - hahahaha!
    Liverpool - hahahahaha!
Leicester - jury still out on where they're going.

Only one's I can think of which seem to have had a positive impact are at QPR

FFS, will people stop using QPR as a success story!

    Promotion to Premiership - Yes
Season ticket price increase by 40% on reaching Premiership - Yes
Cheapest matchday ticket increased to £47 on reaching Premiership - Yes

If that is the success you are striving for then good luck to you, because you'll be rattling round in a stadium that has more away fans than home fans.

And any Barnsley fan who doesn't want someone to throw £15m at the club isn't a Barnsley fan?!?!?! Nobody is going to do that without wanting their money back, either by hiking the prices or by other means when they realise that hiking the prices won't work at Barnsley. Any new investor is not going to do what Cryne did and just pump money in with no hope of getting it back.

I would add that QPR had to go through an awful ot of pain to get to the point they are at now, and a lot of fans question whether the means have justified the ends. The Four Year Plan documentary was painfully embarrasing
