What do we all reckon? Sorry this isn't a thread about a possible takeover bid. I reckon we'll make hard work of it but snatch a 1-0 win, goal mid way through the 2nd half by Mellis I reckon.
Barnsley 1 v 4 Ipswich Kuwati businessmen watch on from the Dimensions Stand as we non perform, Hill loses the plot and Ipswich kick start their season. Our post Christmas form starts early this year, relegated with 18 points.
Re: Barnsley 1 v 4 Ipswich "Clean sheets are king." - Sir Keith Hill, 2011. Wonder if that's how he potty trains Sydney.
Given that the club is historically notorious for building fans expectations and then dashing them with a laissez faire and 'don't give a f***' attitude, then I'll go 1-1. Scraping it in the last 10 minutes.
Its going to go one of two ways I reckon. We keep the ball well, create chances, get a goal and Ipswich heads drop making it a straight forward win. However, whenever we're expected to do well we rarely succeed... so a 0-2 scoreline and Jewell lives to fight yet another day.
we seem to have a unhealthy habit of keeping managers in jobs.... 1 all with us scraping a last minute equaliser off dagnalls knee.
Would love Dagnall to score, would do his confidence the world of good and be a fitting reward for his efforts. Could easily been the one taking the match ball at Brum.
I really think that after the hard work of the last couple of matches we're going to come down to earth with a bump. I therefore think a 0-2 scoreline, however we've done well in scoring so I'm going to revise that and say 1-2 with us scoring first.
Re: If offered The last few weeks have taught us to believe everything written in The Sun...... They say 1-0 - so I'd bite their hands off for that. I'd love 6 points, like 4, accept 3, be disappointed with 2, distraught with 1 or 0 considering how we have been playing. 3-1
You just reminded me, anyone remember in the 99/00 season when we beat Pompey 6-0 then the week after got thumped away 6-1 by Ipswich Town?
It's 'happened' since I met him at Spotland. I'm taking the credit for his improved performances. Just as I'm also taking the credit for Wiseman - always said he was never a right-back. Moving to Hemsworth next week.
