Not all students are the same. I did an Open University Degree in 1990 at the age of 70. People might think all us ex-miners are not that bright but believe me there was a lot more commonsense spoken down the pit than I hear from some today. I got a 2 ; 1 in politics and it served me well when that bitch Thatcher set out to destroy our way of life. Bitch. I have managed to keep sane and active so far but seen a lot of mates die through dust in the pits getting in their lungs. The compensation for these lads was a scandal. Getting back to the lad who started this if you are happy to take money from local lads at greedy banker rates you need to look at yourself in the mirror and have a think. The system is using you, richer people than you are using you to pocket money for themselves.

I don't work for a credit card company I work in financial asset management. Watching thousands of students blow £100s on designer clothing is quite scary as its just another sad inditment of todays must have now society without one care of how they are going to pay for it down the line. Yes I know it's not just students however given they packed meadow hall out tonight I aimed my post at them.

Not right Dek, finished a four year course in 1990. I was warned by my son that it really wasnt worth going on these sites as there is always someone willing to abuse you or have a go. I said I would try but maybe he was right Si thi. I will relax and just read what you lads have to say.

Thanks Dek. If you get to my age you dont always get the way you write dates in sentences correct. We old ex- mining lads need to stick together like we did down the pit. The young lads on here lack a bit of history and think just swearing at each other is interesting. Not for me Dek.
