..............or it could be Wigan Athletic or maybe Bolton Wanderers.
If any of these Lancashire clubs get relegated they will start to look at managers that can get success on a shoe string budget
And they have in Keith Hill just the man living on the doorstep.
Keith will jump at the chance of taking over at one of these clubs because they are better established clubs and they are all in the area where he lives.

    THATS MY PREDICTION

In Keith Hill and Flicker I think Barnsley has hit the jackpot. These guys will become the best management team we have ever seen at Barnsley.
If I was Pat Cryne I'd offer Keith Hill and Flicker a 5 year or better still a 10 year contract on the understanding that they move over the border and live in or just outside Barnsley.

Its only an hour or just over to travel so why insist on them moving? I travel the other way across the Pennines every day and have for over ten years and it doesn’t bother me most of the time and I am on the road at half six / seven o'clock and home for about seven every day so I honestly don’t think it will bother them too much. I completely agree about us hitting the jackpot though, I've said this all along and I would be getting them tied up on long contracts to reflect the faith I have in their ability to do the job. Given time they could be the best management team we've had.

Thank God I do most of my work from home

.........the other part of the job I travel around the country and so I know how bad it is to get from A to B.
I was in Shrewsbury last week. I didn't even know where Shrewsbury was until last week.
Couldn't imagine myself sat in a car for hours EVERY day going to work tho.
12 hour days and a large percentage of that sat in a car........hell

But thats getting away from the point..........we need both Hill and Flicker living in the Yorkhire area......... And on a better contract.
Keith has already admitted that its better weather on this side of the hills (not Hills)

Tha a happy soul Nudge, Butters is off as well in Jan and when RNL is back and playing in the second half of the season he's off in the summer. And the final nail in the coffin will be when the Don comes up with a unique season ticket offer that brings 20,000 plus season ticket holders to the club in the summer and he manages to get us million pound sponsorship deals with Etihad & Virgin Airways he'll then be headhunted by the Glazers.

I have said from day 1 that as soon as the Bolton job comes up Hill will be off, that is the sole reason he keeps himself in the spotlight, he wants the Bolton job.

We need to nail Hillflicker down !!!

....these guys have spent relatively nowt and yet we seem to be on the brink of something special.

On the face of it a rolling contract isn't enough to keep them at Barnsley.........especially when you consider they are sat in the car for hours traveling over from dark, mossy, damp, wi.ndy Lancashire every day

Didn't Hill say recently that he travels across with Flicker and uses that time as part of his morning meeting? Saves turning up 9am to be sat in an office for a couple of hours.

I disagree the special/great thing is that Hillfliicker are on the verge of making us a football club again, I am now looking forward to every game. Theres a feeling that we can give everyone a game top stuff as far as I'm concerned.

The Venkys have denied the sale to the Quatar Royal Family but to make a profit after 12 months on a team at the bottom of the Prem with a poor fan base would be hard to turn down. Theres more chance of the Venkys teaming up with Hill at Oakwell than Blackburn.

    Barmpot.

Aye imagine the clamour from Bolton & Blackburn fans for that guy who got Rochdale promoted once and is currently keeping Barnsley in the Championship.

To be honest, they'd probably be two of the bigger achievements around over the past few years (if we stay up). Similar to Adkins at Scunthorpe. Just needed the resources.
