    He was bad

and we got punished with 2 goals in the first 15 minutes. Boyd had yards of space and time for the first and the cross for the second. That said, the midfield formation that Hill picked didnt help him, he had no-one in front of him as Dawson was in field most of the game.

Stones will learn from it, he's a talented kid but lets be reight, he had a bad game tonight.

I agree, but if Goldborne would dare to shift at any kind of speed when we are going forward, we might have a better balance. He just refuses to go forward, and was so slow at moving the ball on tonight. I think it's a sad state when our only threat from either wing came from a youngster who is trying to do it all himself.

Like I said, shaky start but more experienced players then him cost us. Wiseman and Alnwick were just pathetic for the second goal.

    He's still learning the game

He did OK overall, a few mistakes, but it's to be expected from someone so young. We certainly didn't lose the game tonight because of John Stones. We probably lost it because we haven't got a strong dominant centre half on the books.

Had a bad game, welcome to the nasty grown up game lad. He'll have learned a lot tonight, shouldn't dwell on it. Get ready for Leeds now - buy him body armour and take out insurance.

Stones suffered through the lack of any effective support. The lad at least tried.

I was under the impression that Crainie was the "BIG DOMINANT CENTRE HALF" we needed? At least that is what was said on here when we signed him !! He was supposedly a fantastic defender and just what we have been missing !
Got that wrong then didnt we ??

100% agree. Our defence was bullied by 2 tall puddings. We weren't agressive enough all game everywhere on the park

Isn't this Kennedy meant to be a quick attacking left back who can cross a ball?
