Tbf to Harewood, he thrives on crosses, usually. Perhaps when we get some width again, he'll get on the end of some crosses? I'm trying to be positive about him. It's hard.
Dont you think this is just a tiny bit ironic? Considering this thread and what the opening post is??
Like other players, he simply needs a run of games in the team. I think he'll score goals if the service is there. is he the only player to miss a sitter?
Re: Like other players, he simply needs a run of games in the team. No. Just the only one to consistently miss sitters. An overpaid Odejayi IMO. Had his day
Re: Like other players, he simply needs a run of games in the team. he wasnt much cop the first time, look uninterested at best and from what i have seen this season looks even more uninterested than ever, if we arnt goin to bring a striker in on loan then i would much prefer one of the younger lads to get harewoods pitch time
'consistently miss sitters' when? he hasn't played enough to do anything consistent. IMHO a run in the side and the service provded he'll come good.
That's what confused me yesterday. Unless Dagnall is knackered then he should continue to pair up with Davies.
I still think he's got summat to offer. Hope that Keith perseveres with Marlon rather than getting a loan player in.
I rate Harewood. He has a first touch unlike Davies, is willing to run for the team unlike Davies and when a goal comes which it will he’ll be away for us. Regarding the so called sitter, I’d like to give Kenny some credit for the save. I hate someone been a target just for the sake of it. Only a Barnsley fan can try and destroy there own players confidence. I don’t rate Davies but I’ll not put him down (apart from the above). He does his bit but I’d have Harewood over him if we are only going with one up front.
Re: Get behind em. Not sure about these alleged sitters against Bristol City and Blackburn. I went to Blackburn and don’t recall it, I remember Etuhu missing a sitter but not Harewood. Same against Bristol City, not really a sitter, did well just to get to the ball. Beat the keeper, if not for some good defending to get back and clear it was a goal. It may have been against Bristol City when he broke away out wide, cut inside and had a good shot saved from a tight angle. But then again it was brilliant play to get to a shooting position, and from the angle it was hardly a sitter. I do get the impression some people have only played football on FIFA. Like against Peterborough, the ball smashed across goal in front of him was allegedly a sitter. Why don’t you Dreamboy try getting to that?
