Re: I was in a Trade Union Rally that got attacked by EDL thugs just voicing my view

No your reply doesn't make your point any clearer at all. So 'people' like me who was part of a TU rally that was attacked by EDL scum are simply on a high horse. Dear me, an organised rally made up of decent working people having a voice about various issues affecting them and others in the workplace.. Yet EDL scum thought us fair game to be attacked. So not only Black, ethnics, and other creeds are their targets but the ordinary working person.

    I repeat they are scum.

Right then let's get things clear. I Judith charmers apologise if I've cause offence to anyone, this was never the intended purpose of my whole thread.

    I'm not a racist and I'm not a fascist.

I think the edl, bnp and other organizations of the like are a shower of *****.

As for my comment were I used the term towelheads this was every stupid of me and I shouldn't have said it. As for the word coloureds personally I don't see a wrong in the word but if that's the nature of our society then that's the way it is.

Tarntyke if you felt I was having a dig regarding your rallie then it wasn't ment to come across that way.

Re: I was in a Trade Union Rally that got attacked by EDL thugs just voicing my view

You asked me if I was including you in my EDL scum thread. Basically I tried to clear it up by saying anyone involved in EDL thuggery is scum. I believe the EDL are scum.

It was a Trade Union organised rally, not my rally, and no I don't think you were having a dig at the rally. I was simply trying to point out that EDL thugs have attacked people from all walks of life, colour.creed etc. etc. Which in my opinion, just goes to show that they are both morally and pollitically braindead to say the least. The only thing they are any good at is gathering mindless thugs,

Who wouldn't have been there had the EDL not been there. I've never had to defend myself against anti-facists. The Police obviously did their job if they kept the EDL quiet.

But the edls march went off peacefully. It was only the over aggressive tactics of the police at the end and some anti types trying to break their cordon oh let's not forget the Asian youths throwing fireworks

You can't have a peaceful protest in favour of discrimination

As unpalatable as some of these things are, they are perfect examples of "free speech".

Another is if there was no free speech the berks that turned out in Rovrum yesterday, all 120 of them, would have been arrested and summarily executed.

Aye, cos the EDL lot kept trying to break through the cordon but kept getting easily caught.

The lad that got battered by a copper was slapped when he had been told to shut up from directly abusibg a couple of Asian men outside their shop.

i know and understand what you are saying but having made a point a couple of days ago about a similar subject i found myself set upon by the mioghty jay and his bully boys lets see how they feel in 20 years time when things will look a little different, and before they start again i am not a member or have any affiliation to any religion or political party my thoughts are mine and will not be changed

So marching down the road spouting off racist remarks and constantly trying unsuccesfully to break the police lines is classed as peaceful then?

Has anyone stopped him (or you) from having his view?

People have strongly disagreed but the discussion has still took place.

Do you think if the likes of the EDL get a stronghold that any kind of protesting will be allowed?

I think if south yorks Chris constable states it went off remarkably peaceful then I am inclined to agreed with him than someone who stereotypes by political ideals.

Furthermore, people who I work with an who's opinions I trust live in Rotherham were left wondering what all the fussis about as they were expecting chaos given previous edl/ anti fascist/ police clashes highly documented in the news over recent years.

Carrying on there were 3 arrests out close to six hundred protestors of varying factors.

Oh and given the highly incendiary nature of what they were protesting about I expected something akin to a riot.

NB Islam isn't a race it's a religious so it's religious hatred they were preaching.

Taking a different point of view to you is not bullying you. Don't play the victim.

    Allow protesting?

All main stream parties will allow protesting, to a greater or lesser degree.
