Not according to both Barnsley and Palace commentary team.....a well deserved point for Barnsley after being given the runaround in the first 20 mins.
If he changed players round due to the performance and not injuries, then fair play to him, we got better and by the sounds of it, got a well deserved point. Im not sure he'd have made those changes last season.
Putting Done on for Dagnall made a hell of a difference, Palace weren't in it after that. Not sure about Cywka coming off as he was my MotM up until then.
we had a lot of possesion without really threatening palace, then Perkins comes up with a corker. We deserved a point.
REDS had majority of posession throughout game and deserved a point. After Palace scored they simply got 10 men behind ball and it was difficult to break them down. With Dagnall going off (virus I heard) and Davies injured..............I am more than happy with the deserved point.
Well obviously looking at what everyone else is posting I'm in the minority, but I thought we were poor tonight. (perkins an exception)
nezbfc............you are fully entitled to an opinion and won't be knocked by me. Opinions are what makes football such a good game/discussion subject.
Harewood looks past it to me, touch was dodgy, didnt offer much in the air from the 10's of crosses that got put into the box and he's not going to charge about and close the ball down. Thought it took us 20 mins to get into the game and then palace didn't really have a look in from then onwards. They did put 10 men in front of the ball at 1-0 and were very strong in the air across the back four winning almost all the ball's delivered. We needed a plan B which was to play to our strengths a quick 1-2 at the edge of the box and a fantastic finish. PERKINS take a bow son absolute class act. Id have taken a point at the start of the game against a team which has won 6 out of their last 8 games. Really pleased with the quality of football on show on a shoe string budget. We just need to learn to change the game up sometimes as it becomes too predictable especially if the opposition go 1-0 up early doors. Having said this I think we will do better away from home where teams will set up and be less defensive.
Shut up ya bell end! Draw was by far the most fair result. 2 good championship teams put together on a budget
I was sitting with my brother in law a palace fan. He said draw was fair overall. It was my first game this season and I thought Perkins was excellent. I also thought the full backs were great going forward. The lack is in a bit of pace and a quality finisher. I also think that credit has to be given to palace for an example in how to defend a one nil lead until Perkins bit of magic.
agreed, I'm afraid if Harewood played for the next 2 days I don't think he'd score. Think his legs are gone. In fact I'm sure they have.
I'm a bit frustrated with trying consistently to do an arsenal. Tonight was that, one pass to much. And the only time we did a quick one 2 and hit it, it was in. Too many times we went back, and too many heart stopping moments playing a ball right across our own box. People obviously disagree, but I didn't think we were any where near what we have seen so far this season.
You know my thoughts on harewood mario. Garbage. Overall I thought a point was a fair result in the end. Happy to get it in the end because we didn't look like breaking them down.
IMHO, had the tables been turned, you may well have been critical of us sitting back and inviting trouble.
