Luke Steele on twitter..

In response to someone saying he wouldn't sign a new contract, hence Alnwick playing, Luke swore on his mothers life that it's not the case.
So that's that then. Keith just prefers Alnwick.
The fact Steele and Hassell are mere subs is fcukin ludicrous. IMO, obviously.
Keith I love you, but some of your decisions are not football related, and aren't helping the club.
Hassell, you don't like the bloke, but he's twice the player Wiseman will ever be. And Luke may be our highest earner (your words) but there are reasons why - he's a quality keeper and served us well. Just as Bobby has.
Don't let your ego get you the sack.
    With love,
    Andrew. xxx

If there are no politics at play and based purely on the old saying that you're only as good as your last game then Hassell and Steele must play in the next game. Come on Keef, you know it makes sense.

Well somethings not right. Rowing said he didn't want to talk. Luke says he hasn't been offered one. Obviously Luke can't sign one if its not their, but it might not be their cos he won't talk... Someone needs to actuality say what the **** is going on full stop before he ****s off and we get nowt.

That doesn't mean that he isn't playing because of the contract situation, merely that Steele is still maintaining that he has never refused to sign a contract and has said all along that he is waiting to be offered one. Much the same situation as with Vaz Te when people were claiming he had turned a contract down only for hill to say that was impossible has he hadn't offered him one.

In my opinion either Don or Keith want's steele gone in January because they know he will walk in the summer after we eventually get round to offering him 50p a week to stay, so he isn't being played now to soften the blow when he goes for peanuts.

You know he is very intelligent football wise dont you, I know that because he said so in the Chronicle !!

All because of him when we win, individual mistakes when we lose! Not his fault at all, no way !!

I strongly suspect that the club wants Lukey for less money, but Lukey, entirely justifiably, thinks he is worth the ackers he is presently on given his performances since he joined us.

Very much like when Don said that Howard refused to negotiate a contract and Howard said that was ******** as the club had never approached him about a contract and he was waiting to be offered one.

Coincidence that both times have involved don saying completely the opposite to a player?

I'm not on twitter i can't ask him anything, but if i was the 2 questions i'd ask are

1 are you on a grand per clean sheet bonus,

2 are you on a £500 win bonus,

I'll tell you what. I'd happily pay 46k to a keeper if he didn't let a goal in all season and 23k to a keeper who's just got your side promoted.

He is saying that Hassell is a better player than Wiseman so the side isn't being picked on ability.

It's a giant leap of faith, mate

To come to the conclusion Hill prefers Alnwick to Steele, because Luke hasn't signed a contract. Hill didn't have a problem selecting Butterfield & Vaz Te when they wouldn't re sign. We were told in the Summer Luke Steele didn't want to discuss a new contract. If that's true, then he isn't able to turn down an offer which can't be made until Luke himself wishes to enter into negotiations. Alnwick has played poorly today, so it's fair to say Steele, provided he's fit, should be pushing for a place in the starting eleven.

    Exactly that, Mario. Thanks.
I know for a fact that he doesn't like Bobby.
And even if I didn't know that, I'd still argue that Bobby is getting mistreated by not getting a game ahead of Keith's captain.

But Hassell is good, and isn't getting picked, same as Steele. So what's your point Mr OMG?
Are you saying Wiseman is better than Hassell? If so, then that's your opinion, and isn't shared by many. But fair play to you.
Did you not earlier suggest Hassell SHOULD start? I think you did.
And, Keith doesn't like him. Nothing playground about it on my part, but on Keith's.......
