After seeing last couple of home matches I would say we need some creativity and rest of em need a rocket up their arses.
Centre half and his so called captain on bench. Needed another striker once mido's hamstring went. Rose Harewood Davies and Dagnall way too light. Besides Brum can only muster one goal a game
20 attempts in 180+ mins. Matchday customers £45 for 20 attempts on goal and not all on target. Maybe the forward line do need freshening up but they also need summat to chew on opportunity wise.
We needed a striker to take the burden off Davies even when he was fit. When Davies got injured we needed two strikers and brought in none.
But when Davies is fit and Mido we would then have 7 forwards on the payroll and we play most games with one up front.
Our two main creative players, Cywka & Mellis, have had a drop in form, sadly. O'Brien & Silva may have given the manager other options to rest the former had they been fit.
Re: Our two main creative players, True we need Mellis ticking or the watch stops at the mo. Dont know a thing about Silva haven`t seen him and I cant wait for O`Brien to return, but its all ifs and buts with regards to fit players. We seem to be a team that plays the way we do that will always have a list of injuries. Like others am buggered if I know why.
Having three wide men Out injured early forced Hill's hand somewhat when selecting the midfield diamond formation, in my opinion. Thankfully, the team produced some attractive football with this line up. However, loss of form and lack of available options has seen something of a down turn this month (Charlton aside). It's becoming increasingly frustrating that we're unable to get our injured players back quickly enough to help the manager & team out.
Re: Having three wide men While the International breaks did us a favour in one way in terms of injuries, I think they hindered the form of some of our players who would have benefitted by carrying that momentum on quickly to the next game. I'm thinking about Sniffka, Mellis, Stones - even Davies to an extent, though not to begrudge him his deserved call up.
Re: Having three wide men I don't understand. Where did the breaks do us a favour in terms of our injuries?
Re: Having three wide men Is it just loss of form or have we been sussed at Oakwell (Forest game aside) because from what I gather away performances are still very good if not reaping the full reward.
Re: Having three wide men We had and still have a lengthy injury list, so thinking was that the absence of competitive matches gave the squad further recovery time. We were particularly threadbare going into the first one having lost Perkins and O'Brien. A general consensus and Keith said as much several times. My point is that it also had an adverse affect on the form of a few individual players.
No point, we can't afford anyone decent ,might as well prepare for our true level ,Div 1 .......I've come round to Keiths view of the club....defeatism rules
But we're not getting the players back No Mido, McNulty, Silva, Digby, O'Brien, Steele in a starting XI this season. Cranie not seen for four weeks, including the last international break, and not known when he will return.
Re: But we're not getting the players back Gordon Greer n Marko Futacs perhaps? Dont think either are starting for their respective clubs.
