    Alnwick at Hull
Don't think we'll see Steele play again and for that I'm gutted. Even if he got recalled he will be off in the summer at latest. Can't blame him: so close to England call and now left on the bench

That's football, he got injured at the wrong time. That's all.

He's still a quality keeper but Hill's thinking long term. Rowing said as much when we met him the other month - Alnwick was brought in for the long term because he wasn't confident we could keep Steele.

Not saying I agree with it but understand the logic. If you dropped a keeper after every mistake then Steele would've been on the bench a few times this past couple of years.

I also fully expect Wiseman and Foster to be at the centre of our defence also

Surely he has to restore Steele to the first team. I can understand that no matter how good Steele is he had to be on the bench while Alnwick was playing well but he has had a couple of bad games now (very poor against Forest) so time for a change.

I think Foster is having a pretty good season so far.

It goes against the principle of player your best players, long term or not. It might be good for Bennannikk to watch and learn from our Luke.

That principle is ballacks, though. The point of what he's trying to do is to plan long term so we can compete without the cash everyone else has got.

Sure he sees enough in training every day.

Well for me, if KH won't play Steele after Saturday's performance. Is there a clause is Steele's contract ready to be activated by playing one more game?

They both are, by their own standards.

Which should set alarm bells ringing.

I have. I'd say my mistake but I blame the format. Either way I apologise.

So do I. He's definitely better as a centre half but I think Foster is helping him.

To pick your best and strongest team dont you have to field your best players?

Someone should show Hill that video, also show Alnwick it , it may show him how to dive to make a save !

If Steele doesn't play Saturday then I would be amazed.......and would agree that his BFC career is probably finished.

At least the goalkeeper selection for the Hull game should give us a steer on where Hill is going re. goalkeeper.

    Steele every time for me......SIMPLE

Not necessarily. The best midfield players in England are supposed to be Gerrard and Lampard, but they can't play together...

Your best team might not always be the best players, but it is the 11 players that play best together and compliment each other to make the best possible team.
