Re: So it was Steve Davis who developed Nick Powell So Steve Davis didn't develop him at all even though he played more games under him and came into his best form in the second part of the season.
Re: So it was Steve Davis who developed Nick Powell wouldnt want redfearn look at his managerial track record
No Steve obviously played a part in the lad's development. I think he appears to have the potential to become a good gaffer and has had success in his very short managerial career. I also believe Keith Hill already is a good and successful manager who has helped and developed the careers of quite a number of players, both at Rochdale and at Barnsley.
I repeat, I love Keith, but jeez some of you talk as though he's worked miracles. He hasn't. He's done a decent job. But there is no need to deride my, and others suggestion of Steve Davis a potential replacement. Btw, only myself and MrsHallsToffeeRolls named Keith as our guy from the moment Robins left. I knew he'd be quality, but even I'm not going to act like it's the apocalypse when he leaves. Davis has more experience than Wilson had upon appointed as tarn manager.
well wilson had effectively been doing the managers job for the previous 6 months, press conferences etc were vivian was nowhere to be seen
Based on what exactly? As soon as the parachute payments that Keef hates are finished they will be back to being the same as us
Hang on Conan & I are only debating on a thread you started. Conan has not been derogatory towards me nor I him. I'm simply pointing out that Steve Davis is an inexperienced league manager, who (if Keith Hill were to leave) would not appear on our fans' radar had he not played for us in the past, in my opinion.
Re: We could always do a raid on Rotherham again I am assuming that your tongue is firmly placed in your cheek.
Re: We could always do a raid on Rotherham again I'm in a foul mood, so ignore me if I seem cnutish today. I started the thread to get opinions on who we'd like as next manager, should Keith depart. Oh, and now we're behind already at Hull. Dark mood. But Keith will show his talent and we'll come back.......
Re: We could always do a raid on Rotherham again Not sure we'll attract much interest from managers currently in employment with a potential takeover in the offing. Would be the 'imperfect' storm as far as BFC were concerned IF Hill was to leave and IF the takeover were not to go through fairly soon. If I were a manager currently in employment I'd look upon a club actively seeking a buyer as a risky move.
Re: We could always do a raid on Rotherham again im thinking Nick Barmby if keith left. experianced in this division and did a decent job at hull in my opinion
