Sorry but I've had enough of the poor football for most of the year. I'm fed up of the number of gutless displays that I've endured. I'm fed up of the lack of urgency from the players on the pitch. I'm fed up of the same tired excuses being dished out week in week out.

Not a wind up but not serious either. There are folk on here just spoiling for a moan, regardless of the issues with the team, manager, club finances, takeoveretc.... Some only show their faces when things are bad - Reds were ****, I'm pissed off, thinks I'll go on the bbs and slag them off. This league is always going to be a battle for a club like ours, where's the surprise there? We operate on a fraction of the budgets of our rivals. At least come on and celebrate the good performances and comment on the optimistic stuff too.

I don't mind listening to anyone being critical if they have anything insightful or constructive to say, even if I don't agree with it. The problem is there are a number of posters who only appear when we've lost and make generic we are rubbish comments, particularly when they haven't been to the game. They also hijack conversations between sensible posters.

And they also spend more time complaining about Hills post match comments, completely missing the irony that Hill usually has designed them to do just that

I can't see any threads criticising individual players tonight

I'll give you something constructive..... If you're the manager of a Championship football team, and your biggest beef this week is that negativity surrounds the club, why not go out and be as positive as possible .... I mean, play a striker, perhaps one who chipped in with a goal last week?
instead of giving the most down beat interview since Paul Hart was here, why not say something to lift the mood? Say something to tell the fans why it isn't as bad as it looks? Maybe something about what's good at training? Players that might be on the radar etc etc?
Why not try to sell the good points of the club instead of constantly saying how bad things are.? I think 100% of Barnsley fans have got the point that we have no money. It doesn't need mentioning every week.
And yet, I still believe we have some very good players.
If the club wants less negativity, it needs to be proactive in producing positivity.

I thought Harewood was our best player last week and was very surprised he wasn't on the team sheet. IMO I agree, he should have started.

The only thing I would say, having not seen the game, is I don't know if we didn't play with a striker. If you went, and we didn't , I agree wholeheartedly. However, Etuhu might have played that role or there was a tactical reason why Hill thought it had merit.I've certainly not seen Hull under Bruce, maybe it was thought they are weak against pace but capable of handling Harewood? That said it evidently didn't work and our gut reaction seems to be right, and it is a very fair criticism.

And as for what Hill said, it really doesn't bother me. If what managers said after a game affected my mood I would have topped myself under Robins. Hill is very honest about his own feelings and also won't publically criticise his players. This obviously riles some people. Personally it doesn't bother me but if it did I probably wouldn't listen to them.

As much as you dislike Hill I don't actually count you in any of the above. You're happy to laugh at yourself for disliking his voice which amuses me. And you're very clear that you're not a fan of his style of football. I don't agree, but you explain why.

Plus, other than your Hill rage, you never have a bad word to say about anyone

You obviously cannot remember when Simon Davey was manager !! NOW he was the only manager I have EVER truely hated !!

I do not dislike Hill, I dislike his attitude to the fans, some love that, I dislike his obsession with sideways passes, some love that too, but most of all I dislike his bloody shabby record as BFC manager, yet bizarrely some even think that is good too. I want to like him , but everytime I start warming towards him, he comes out with another moaning statement about the negativity of the fans, yet he is the most negative one of all.
