Now whenever I come on (especially after a bad result or performance) within minutes it makes me feel so miserable. Everyone is so doom and gloom these days and jumps on the bandwagon whenever we have a bad result. I went to the game yesterday and as soon as I got home, I logged on and all I saw was "Hill Out" and a poll to see who our next manager should be. Moan Moan Moan Moan Moan. Now I wasn't impressed with our performance yesterday but I will never slag my team off, never boo and never chant for someones head. My glass is always half full and I still beleive in the current regeime. People need to realise that we are a club trying to punch above our own weight. When teams are throwing £5m about to sign ONE player, how are we supposed to compete. Football these days is all about money and we aint got none. No manager can come in here and do a Danny Wilson as there is too much financial muscle in the game today and football isn't a fair game like the days back in 1996. We have to make do with what we have and I couldn't see another manager try and do a better job. Dont spout about Big Mick coming or managers that have good calibre as we aint attractive enough and have no financial power for a manager to fire us up the table and managers will not be attracted by this. We have also started the season with potentially 5 or 6 first teamers out for a long while. Likes of JOB, Silva, Mido, McNulty, Steele etc all would have started the season IMO if fit and now we have them back. We have hit a bit of a blip, morale is down and results have gone against us. I didn't beleive Keith's selection and game plan was correct yesterday but if I knew what the answer was then I'd be in charge of barnsley and not Keith Hill. Our attendances are low and that is peoples own personal choice whether or not they should attend football as at the end of the day, they work hard to bring home the money and choose to spend it on whatever they wish. The only gripe I have is that the people who don't go seem to have a bigger opinion on the ones that do and feel justified (not everyone mind) by barnsley losing making there decision not to go anymore viable. We as fans are too negative and it sometimes starts on here. I will probably get shot down tonight for posting this as there are more pessamists on this forum than optimists. I will be there on Tuesday at Derby treating it like a new game and hoping for the lads to put in a performance. These next few games should tell us how our season will pan out as we are near full strength for the first time this season and should have more options now to change things should games not be going our way.
But what I don't understand is why people keep blaming the circumstances for the defeats. You cannot blame the circumstances for not playing a striker. You cannot blame circumstances for the continual lack of urgency on the pitch. You can't blame circumstances n the fact the team rolls over and dies when going behind.
How very dare you?...you come on ere with your lardydar positiveness, so log off till you've got something to moan abart.
Yes, yesterday there was some negative comments but Yesterday was ONE game. this has been going on for months and months. I honestly believe that some people will never be happy no matter who is in charge, the style we play and the atmosphere we generate. Each and everyone to their own tho, I have just put my opinion out there as I'm sure there will be quite a few that will agree with me but not post anything due to getting shot down by the doom and gloom brigade
He explained in his post match interview the reason why he started with Etuhu up front. It didn't work, but that's football. He had a rationale for his decision and it proved to be wrong. We have shown plenty of urgency in a lot of our games this season, but we are struggling at the moment and it's Hill's job to do something about it ASAP. Support them. The failing to come from behind thing is a mystery to me as much as it seems to be to Hill too. I wonder what Rochdale's record in similar circumstances was like under Hill's tenure? That might prove whether it's a tactical thing, or a behavioural issue bespoke to this group of players.
It wasn't ONE game though was it. It was one of many poor games and I guarantee you that there will have been negative comments at every single one of them. This board is no different from the local pub or the stands at Oakwell or any other ground in the country and if you honestly believe that this board is unique in its negativeness after we've lost a game without attempting to score then you are deluded. Negativity doesn't start on here, it starts in the managers office, spreads to the pitch and then the fans in attendance, the commentators on the radio and the fans on here and everywhere else.
I have honestly not seen much urgency (attacking wise) from us this season and the reason we are so bad at coming from behind is painfully clear. It is because even at a goal down we still continue with the same patient passing game which makes it almost impossible to get the ball to the attackers when the opposition are ahead and happy to sit back, allow us to pass it around the defence and then use the numbers game to clean up the ball when we try the slow pass up front
I'm deluded am I? Pmsl. Plenty around me old cocka that feel the same as I do. Best tell them they are deluded too. In fact anyone that disagrees with anything you say is deluded. Why dont we section the board off and have 2 split fans forum. Yours can be the usual responses and ours can be "deluded fans setion". Don't say that I am deluded mate. I pay money to watch my team home and away and have as much as an opinion as u do. We support the same team for gods sake and u call the positive fans deluded. Prime example of why this board is so rubbish a lately.
hahahah made me laugh that. Was it a joke or meant to be serious. Didnt we booo the team off second game of last season at half time?
So you do think that this board is unique in its negativeness then and that it doesnt happen anywhere else on any other site or at any ground in the country? And I didn't say that positive fans were deluded so learn to read
"So learn to read" another insult eh??? So now I'm deluded and illiterate and possibly diselectric or is it dyslexic? There u go again supertyke putting me in another miserable mood. Bossman - I'm sorry for not listening to u. Afterall, u did warn me, lol. Heading over to the deluded fans section now to speak positive with my 3 fwiends hahaha
This is a forum, where opinions are shared, and varied. It's an ideal vehicle upon which to get things off your chest. You are then bound to agree with some posters, and disagree with others. The facts are, that most of the people who are sharing their worries, are raising good points. Yet they are labelled moaners, negative, and want to get relegated. That is just plain wrong. Did you read the forum after we beat Brum and Charlton? The amount of OTT threads the other way, was quite stunning. To suggest that other supporters are wrong, negative, want to fail etc, just because you disagree with their point, is like me saying Keith Hill is the only man who could work with this budget - it's ******, and that's why I prefer to stay in the middle, and judge what I see over time, rather than deciding to have just one view and stick rigidly to it in some strange attempt to prove something. We are all Reds, so why have a pop at each other? Instead of accepting we are all unique, with differing opinions. Up the Tarn, etc.
