quote to radio deedar if we achieve our goal of 50 points to stay up. it would be like walking a tightrope with two broken legs quality mr hill.
Ho obviously got it wrong, but surely you wouldn't deny a man the freedom of thought and the right to change his opinion?
Liar!!! I don't believe for one moment that Keef has made another comment insinuating the budget isn't good.
Staying up under Mark Robins must have equated to walking a tightrope, with broken legs, whilst Don Rowing shakes the rope. Getting promoted under Danny Wilson equated to walking the tightrope, on his head, with amputated limbs, whilst the rope was on fire, blindfolded.
Agreed. Both were outstanding achievements. I was heartbroken when Danny left and disappointed to see Robins leave - of whom I was a supporter despite the attritional style of football.
If he really said that is there any wonder there's no atmosphere at Oakwell when even the Team Manager doesn't believe we can stay up. Instead of blaming every one else why doesn't he say anything positive? If he does believe we can't stay up he should either shut up or say so but with a bit of positivity; a la - "we'll probably go down but in the meantime we'll do everything we possibly can to avoid it". Sounds better than "I'm the best manager in the world but we're skint".
1225: FOOTBALL Barnsley manager Keith Hill says achieving the club's aim of reaching 50 points this season would be 'like walking a tightrope with two broken legs'. Hill was speaking to BBC Radio Sheffield following the 1-0 defeat at Hull, which left them 20th in the Championship table. this is exactly what he said
I suppose its a good job someone like Simon Davey isn't Academy coach as Keith might be out of a job by now.......
Honest question, but why do people think statements like that are funny? Its just ballox !! Nothing funny about it, it shows that he is fu cking nuts !!!
He does like his phrases. I can see how some find it annoying. Doesn't bother me in the slightest but then again I never listen to or read interviews anymore. Can't be ar5ed with the official site or player, don't listen to radio sh1tfield. Only things I read are when they are posted on here. It doesn't matter to me what he is saying, not interested. He does need to start winning some games though.
But he hasn't admitted that he got it wrong, he hasn't come out and said that he's changed his opinion. he's just hoped we've all forgotten his comments when he came here and keeps banging on about the budget. If Keith Hill came on the radio and said 'I know I said I was brilliant and that the budget was more than enough for me to do great things with Barnsley and push them into the top half of the division but I now realise I was wrong and the job is much harder than I anticipated so I have had to reasses my aims and my ability to achieve those aims with my managerial ability on this budget and now believe that the best I can hope to achieve is to stay up" then i'd have some respect for him
i personally love to hear his keithisms and so do my american friends. they think hes nuttier than a nut factory. wheather its ballox or not he has a sense of humour which some people on here should try. you never know you might like it
