    Ajax, 8 players on the field that have come through their youth system.

    Manchester City, 2 english players ( one they paid 12million quid for) in the starting 11. Says it all really.

    Even more money coming soon through the foreign tv rights deals. Lots of it too. Why develop home grown players? I bet ticket prices don't come down either, but that is a different thread.
