And your boss has just told the world that you are not good enough to compete against the opposition. That you are like an aldi player and the rest of the league are harrods players. That you will be lucky not to be relegated this season. That you have got no chance at all. Would you respect that manager and give it your all every week or would you simply say '**** it, he thinks i'm **** and expects us to lose anyway so whats the point?' I suspect a few of his players have taken the latter view.
i would think im playing for Barnsley fc and want to play well for the fans. and that maybe the problem, the players maybe dont want to play for the fans
Imagine you are a footballer at Barnsley and you have to impress this set of ****ers every week, that's a tough job
No they couldnt because they aren't good enough to command those wages regardless of which club they are at.
if they could earn 10k a week at another club thats where they'd be,other than maybe davies there arnt many in our squad capable of getting owt like that.
You are clearly one of the more intelligent posters on here. Why do you use that intelligence to produce poisonous prose about both the club and its manager. Do you think that you are helping either the club or the manager to improve the situation that they find themselves in. If so, I do not agree and I think you would better serve your objectives if you were more positive and less cynical. If not, what is your agenda. Are you happy just influencing opinions, or are you seeking regime change.
exactly, so do we assume that maybe keith is actually losing the dressing room or is that the best the players can play. if it is the best they can play we have to accept it and hope we can grind out the points we need
Firstly I am definitely not one of the more intelligent posters on here, i'm just an average guy from Barnsley. Secondly there isn't really any agenda, I guess I just tend to post more negative things because when I think them they seem to be more obvious or interesting or insightful (basically I can't think of the word i'm after here) than when I think 'that was good' or 'that was ok' because it seems a bit silly to say that. I know i've just made no sense and I don't even think that's the reason, i'm just guessing. As for do I want regime changes? Well yes and no. I'll start with Keith Hill. I want Keith Hill's attitude to change and for him to stop with the pathetic excuses and man up a bit, get on with his job and shut up moaning about how hard it is for him. I don't want him sacked and never have, i've said that if he is sacked any time soon then the board of directors and owner should also be sacked/quit because they have caused this. I think he is an average, decent manager who has got some lucky wins, some unlucky losses, got lucky with a couple of players and been unlucky with some. I don't think he is anywhere near the intelligent manager he thinks he is or he would have seen our obvious failings in some games and addressed them. Whilst I don't want him sacked at all from a managerial point of view, I wouldn't feel sorry for him one bit from a personal point of view if he was sacked because his constant comments have made him thoroughly unlikable. The Don. Do I want the Don sacked or to leave the club? No no no. I like Don Rowing. I think he is very good at certain things and absolutely terrible at others. What I would like to see would be for the board to grow allowing him to focus on his better aspects and letting others help out with the things he isn't as good at. Barry Taylor. Who? get shut. Should never have been allowed on the board after serving on more failed boards than peter ridsdale or ken bates and should definitely have been removed after the Morgan incident because he is part of the FA that allowed it. Does he actually bring anything to the club? If he does I haven't seen it. PC. yes I want him gone. But not for negative reasons. I want him gone because him leaving means someone else coming in to take the club forward. I would never campaign for him to leave or to be removed somehow because that isn't why I want someone new. What I want at BFC is improvement. I post about the negative things because they are all too plain to see and the areas we can improve in are obvious to me and i'm sure to others so I feel if I bang on about them enough then someone will eventually make a change for the better and improve. If we all accept mediocrity then that is all we will get in my opinion, if we demand perfection then we may just get 'decent' and that is a start.
grow up FFS. Do you genuinely not believe that he has not told the players that he says things to the press that is rubbish to take the pressure off them? Do you genuinely believe that he does not try to instill confidence with his players in training every day?
