So DC united season maybe over tonight if they lose in playoffs to new york red bulls. DC are leading 1-0 after first leg.

DC United have a canadian striker called Dwayne De Rosario. he was MVP of the league last season scored 20 or 22 goals i think.

The scouts of BFC should give him a look and see if they can sort a loan deal out. he a decent goalscorer and would /could do a job at championship level

He isn't from Barcelona so he's not good enough.

I think he used to play for Toronto FC. Saw him play not bad, in a bad League,Do not think he would make it in the championship

Can you imagine through uproar on here should we sign a player from DC United and even play him? It was bad enough we signed Rooney from the US via Macclesfield

no i did. but that is the consensus amongst some.

why would there be uproar if the reds signed someone from DC United, the most succesful club in the US

If the player is good enough he will be a hit.

I cannot remember anyone slagging the foreigners we had under Davey, well not until they proved to be crap, ie Mostto, The reason for the worries about Rooney is that he never pulled any trees up at Macclesfield, never mind in the states!! Barnsley have had players from all around the world before and I am certain we will in the future, I will say this, if they are good enough, they will be supported by the fans, if not they will be given short shrift!!,. Nothing at all to do with where they come from, just ability.

Because he would be classed as lower league rubbish before anyone had seen him play. If we don't sign through likes of Puyol, Iniesta and Messi we lack ambition and Hill doesn't know what he's doing

it seems to be a bit of an untapped market over here.

maybe a new venture for the reds. strike a deal up with a MLS club some of our players come here theres come to oakwell in the off season here.

the collegiate system here is exceptional compared to the uk.

a few friendly games for pre season THE SUPER REDS V THE SUPER EAGLES

He has a major, major attitude problem. Refused to play for his club (Toronto I think) because they wouldn't pay him what he thought he was worth. Was moved on and was very disruptive in the dressing room. Not liked in the Canada national team from what I hear too.
