What do you see that makes you think, that we will comfortably stay in this league. Please tell me. Is the the side to side crab football. The slow movement of the ball. The lack of confidence. Maybe the manager, who's comments divide the club from the fans. The number of shots we have. Or maybe, that we have first class players injured who shall return. At the end of the day being positive about it will not help our change in form (neither will being negative) it will just make you feel better. Yes I'm looking forward to another depressing weekend.
i'm positive about most games, ive seen how bad we are and ive seen how good we can be. tbf no team has been down to't well and outclassed us as in other seasons so i'm prepared to give hill credit that he can stop other teams playing. for most part other teams wins against us have been down to individual errors
I would like to ask the happy clappers who on earth they think the 3 teams are in this league we can finish above?
We have only been outplayed in 1 game at home this season - Forest. Huddersfield were no better than us overall, just had one good move and scored. The players obviously still want to play for the manager as witnessed by us matching every team we play, the commitment and desire is there. That is half the battle. I think things will turn around for what its worth and I'm a confirmed pessimist. Stones needs a rest, play Wiseman or Bobby at right back and get McNulty back in the centre. I thought today Harewood and Etuhu played well upfront, Mellis and Dawson didn't have their best games, but overall, like I said, we certainly matched Huddersfield.
Etuhu.... Jesus. Personally I thought he was absolutely gash, I have no idea what he brings to the team. But then again I'm not Keith
Funnily enough Earlier this season when we were playing well and winning matches, on a number of occasions I requested people not to gloat over those who were pessimistic over our chances this season. Not to look at point scoring over fellow supporters. To avoid snidey comments at people simply for holding a different opinion. After all, I argued, we are all Barnsley fans who had the same aim. We all want the team to win, play well and succeed. I was hoping that when the tables were turned, as they surely were to at some point, adopting such a tolerant posture could then be reciprocated. After some of the posts tonight, I won't be such a naive pillock in future.
Hey it's ok to have a moan. It shows they care. We have to be realistic. It's daft knocking people who post critism of the team hill etc. As it true. Lets look at the facts. WE ARE RUBBISH! At the moment. Any one who sees it different is blind or stupid. However IF we improve, rightly so they should receive praise.
Etuhu had his best game for us today. He always showed to receive the ball and didn't waste many, but he is not a striker and doesn't have the instinct. Harewood played a ball across the six yard bix during the first half which a seasoned striker would have been in the right place for.
As I said I don't do point scoring, sneering comments and condescending posts against fellow fans, simply because they see things differently to me. That applies whether we win, lose, draw, perform well or poorly. I talk to people in the same respectful manner as I wish to be spoken to, be it on the BBS or face to face. Anyone who knows me will confirm this. It's one thing to be down, depressed, hurt after a defeat, especially in a derby. It's natural to voice concerns and reflect the pain felt on days like today. But it's hardly the fault of any Happy Clapper like myself. No one is answerable to me for voicing their beliefs. However, with the exception of Site Admin, I'm answerable to no one else either.
I see it different and so therefore I must be blind or stupid. I'm actually just myopic but not totally blind so therefore I must be stupid. Oh and I think I might be a happy clapper too because things are never as bad as they seem and Hillcroft are the right men for this job. But what do you care what I think. Happy clappers=blind fools. So mebbe I am blind after all !
