We have a team of Division 1 players and a Division 2 Manager- that's where he should have stopped. The team plays with no passion - and no variation in tactics from week to week. Long time since I have seen the Ponte End so empty for a local derby. I, together I am sure many other season ticket holders, wont be renewing next season, particularly if we are relegated, but even if we escape that, many will not come back to watch such negative, boring football with a manager who blames everything and anyone but himself. Incidentally, how on earth can a 100% player like Bobby Hassell not get in this team of misfits??
Trouble is that 100% of very little is still, very little!! We need to find a different way of playing and quickly because this system is not working with theses players.
tbh i think if performance wise i was gonna ditch watching my team because of performance i'd have picked different era i:e paul hart, simon davey. but i got through it all.
In my opinion, never had such a poor squad, boring, negative, lack of atmosphere ete ctc - the results speak for themselves..
can't argue about results tbh but i've seen a lot worse performances includind relegation into third tier.
B Bobby Hassell - you must be joking. He would have been run ragged. Where were you these 65 years in the car park. I have been watching the Reds for 62 years, and have seen some abysmal play in various divisions; but I your comments are totally out of order.
We should have kept with Davey ,if this is progress.. Ive been a Hill fan since day one, but results matter and the abilaty to get loan players in and attract them to the club (No wonder we didnt the sign that lad from Man City when he knew Mido was gonna be ready for the squad!). I Like most of us are worried and probably excepting league one is around the corner, hope Im wrong though..
I thought that todays performance was poor. They looked like eleven individualls. There was no real fight. When a player gave a ball away they did not fight for it back. One thing is for sure. Jacob Mellis will never get a hamstring injury. You have to run around to get one.
Well I have only been going for 46 years, but I remember worse. What were you doing in the John McSeveny era, or the Steele era when we were bottom of division 4 after ten games. Then there was the Spackman era... you haven't forgotten the Spackman era have you, or the months leading up to administration. This is bad, but there have been worse... much worse.
Me too, bleak tuesday nights losing at home to Torquay Barrow York Southport...anyone who thinks we're bad now just hasn't been going long enough
