just received an email from brother in law who is a leeds fan. hes told me there a meeting at oakwell to discuss the mangers future amongst other things in the next two days. the guy my brother in law works for is quite a reliable source, and really good friends with people behind the scenes at oakwell. and john dennis whom ive met on numerous occasions, through this guy.
The way I see it is they have two choices with Hill, they either back him and I mean back him properly or they sack him. None of this given him five games **** because the club is stagnating and Hill needs backing from the management or he might as well chalk **** on it and walk. I wouldn't blame him if he did.
i totally agree mario its back him or sack him if they back him then they also need to provide him with neccesary monetry backing too. just to give him a chance to be able to compete
I know we don't have much money but dropping into league one is unthinkable financially so releasing some money to Hill is an imperative. I hope our board see sense and review our budget because all the belt tightening will be irrelevant with a £6 million hole in our finances.
I don't think Keith Hill will be here much longer, mate I believe he'll be on his way before January, whether a takeover materialises or not. Before another permanent manager is in place, I think Ronnie Branson will be appointed caretaker boss. Or I could be rambling and talking gibberish as per usual.
Re: I don't think Keith Hill will be here much longer, mate Not as gibberish as you may think my big hairy friend!
Hill has signed pretty much the entire squad. Only Steele and Foster are regular starters and remain from the pre KH days. Why would anyone in their right mind want to give him more money to spend? No decent player would want to come and play for him anyway. We will only improve when he is removed and back at his level.
Let's face, if they gave him lorry load of money.... He hasn't got the contacts or the "pull" to fetch in quality players. If you were a decent player would you sign after looking at his record with us or after listening to the negative ***** he spouts?
Seeing as you're in the know, mate Is there any truth in the rumour of John Dennis heading a takeover bid?
Re: Let's face, if they gave him lorry load of money.... Spot on. He has his level in football and its neither of the top two tiers of english football.
is there any chance of finding any news on this apparent takeover bid too,,only thing i can see what might keep us up,,but hardley inviting with these bad results at the mo,,,onwards and upwards REDS
there is some truth in the rumour but what i have been told not at the moment as the club isnt a viable commodity read into this what you will
Apologies if I'm wrong, but that sounds like utter b*llocks you've been told there. Why would John Dennis know anything? Why would a Leeds fan tell you that? I can't see Cryne considering sacking Hill after a few bad results (before the last four games he was flavour of the month).
just what i know and been told. my dad went to school with john and he did work for him years ago. i used to work with my dad thats how i got to know the dennises when i replied to brother in laws email he said hed told me exactly how it was told to him. i think if the board say anything to keith it will be the dreaded vote of confidence.
Whilst not doubting what you say,I think it very unlikely sacking Hill is remotely on the agenda, unless they've found someone else prepared to have very little to spend,or suddenly found a forgotten couple of million to give to someone else
How does the club change to become a "viabile commodity"? Move to SW London where property prices are higher?
What's been the constant throughout our lowly Championship seasons ? Perhaps 'the board' should look at their own performances.
