privatising the utilities and having the country more or less totally reliant on imported fuel....held to ransom by some of the most unstable parts of the world.

Any body with an ounce of common sense could see what was coming when she started privatising the utilities, but the greedy middle classes and some even more stupid working class idiots kept voting for her rabid right wing Friedman policies, it only needed a few hours reflection on what she was trying to achieve to come to the conclusion that it would all go t1ts up eventually, it actually took a lot longer to unravel than I thought, but when it did, the doomed experiment caused much more damage than any body could envisage and guess what, the idiots that voted for her heaped all the blame on Brown, now he wasn't blameless but the full blame lies squarely at her door, she started the experiment, her successors, of all parties just carried it on. History will show, in another twenty, thirty years, that she was the most devisive, damaging, destructive prime minister of all time.

generally privatisation has been good for the Customer. However, that governments failire to implement a policy for the next generation of power plants was nothing short of neglect

Where has it been good? There is NO competition and profit that would have been used to invest in the infrastructure before Sid and Maggie is now divvied up to shareholders and foreign owners....o

energy prices, certainly in my lifetime, have never taken a bigger slice of our income than they do now.....cant see how privatisation has been good for anyone, other than the energy companies themselves.

theres no competetion, they've all been in cahoots with one another, baffling the customers into thinking they were onto a good deal.
