Unreal that it's full price on sky just before xmas!!!

I think that to try and get anyone to buy a half season pass, then this game should be included as a bonus game, any numbers is worth it. At least this game and Leeds is included then. I also think that pass holders could bring a friend for half price using a voucher out of the pass etc!! No BFC fans are going to pay full price when hardly any did vs Hudds at 3pm on a Saturday!!

Should have just made it £20 - £10 & £5 for this game, will be getting sky money as it is!!! Or £20 in advance and £25 on the day max even if BFC did want to be greedy!

Give it time. Club not announced half season ticket details yet so could well be in package of say £160-170

    P**s poor Don.

I suggest u look into a course in running a successful business.

Companies with offers always are more successful than a company who just charge the highest price. Curry's compared to Comet is an example.

Thats a very cheap shot at Don

Hes done well in very tough circumstances if you ask me.

Im sure he would admit to wishing he had more help but to say he cannot run a successful business when hes kept barnsley fc ticking over on a profit AND on a shoestring is a bit poor!

    Maybe a bit harsh.

But why don’t we have business sense to try and bring in some fans. Where only going to have around 1000 more fans than there fans with those prices and if it’s on TV.

Need to entice people in with an offer. Not just charge the highest price.

The game is on Sky so we’ll make a profit, but is there a need to charge full price when we are in need of fans.

If we lower the prices and get a win, then some of those fans might come back. While the club doesn’t benefit if people prefer to watch it in a bar. Just think there’s a lack of any sense sometimes when it comes to BFC.

I know the fans should take the blame but for the fans its put up or shut up when it comes to prices, and reducing prices for a game against Wednesday is more appealing than a Tuesday night game against Peterborough.

Why not make it £10 and £5? We're getting sky money anyway. Who in their right mind is going to pay £28 when they can be sat in the warm at home or in the pub? It would make a big statement to supporters to do this!

Not going to look good on tv with a half empty stadium - potential new owners might be watching!!!!

I think the following 3 things should happen for this game!!

    1. This game must be included in the half season ticket.
    2. Season ticket holders can bring an adult for £15 and any concession for £5 using a voucher from the season book (say a max of 2 adults & 2 kids per voucher)
    3. Family ticket offer of £30 in any area of the east stand & west stand - 2 adults & 2 kids £30. This way the north stand is full price (although I think it should be £20-£25 max for them with all concessions £10) but I would send Wendies some family tickets now for the west upper and lower.

The annoying thing is it’s an opportunity to give the team some backing, make it a better place to play.

We know Wednesday fans will turn up in numbers and be loud, so why give them an advantage by basically telling fans to watch it in a bar.

It’s a brilliant opportunity to reduce prices and make Oakwell an intimidating place to come, but no. Let’s show no sense and charge £28.

The club I love absolutely bakes my head.

If hes so clever ask him to get a calculator and work out what another 3500 fans through the turnstiles for the Wednesday game would generate if we charged £15.00. Thats business, get fans onto seats. Dont moan about shoestring budgets when hes doing nothing to create more revenue. The mans a not a business man!

A real supporter who enjoys a football derby atmosphere rather than watching it on TV.

So why will Wednesday fans 'turn up in numbers' and all our fans will sit in a bar?

Do our fans not like the cold as much as Owls fans? Are people in Sheffield much richer in Sheffield and can afford the £28 and Barnsley folk can't? (£25 for members)

There are some admirable ideas in this thread but also some very strange comments.

How do you know there'd be 3,500 more fans? There weren't that many more Barnsley fans at the Blackpool anniversary game and it was £12.50.
