Your argument might apply if he was playing at right back. However, for some reason he's being picked ahead of several players who could do a better job at centre back and he's been at fault for pretty much every goal that been scored against us from a cross in the last few months. I'd been praying for McNulty to get fit to put an end to this, but no, it's Foster who gets dropped for McNulty. If Keith is determined to pick him, at least play him at right back, where he can do less damage to the team.
Re: Well according to Barnsley player It was. A woeful pass in midfield leading to Bolton having a great position to counter. Wasn't Wiseman's fault.
Re: Well according to Barnsley player Done gave the ball away, but the defence did not defend at all, the captain was watching the scorer run away while HE ran the other way. No good blaming others for poor defending, Yes Done was at fault first but that does not mean the defence can stand and watch , then just say it was someone elses fault first, thereby absorbing themselves of any responsibilty!!
Re: Well according to Barnsley player I agree Done cocked up,but the main fault was whoever didn't pick Kevin Davies up in a fairly straightforward defensive task. I haven't seen the goal on TV yet,but a central defender was to blame.
This ****** about wiseman is a joke. The guy just takes relentless stick and most of the time it's un justified, just seen the goal now, why not say that it was a good ball and well taken goal instead of slating OUR player. Or is it because most of you just don't like him? Sad bestards, get a grip instead of just waiting for faults in people!
Re: Well according to Barnsley player Exactly you've commented on a goal you've not even seen! Wow you must have a real sixth sense
There was only one attacker anywhere near our goal, he was sighted all the way, wiseman had no distractions and yet inexplicably decided to stand a good ten yards from the attacker ensuring that he had absolutely no chance of getting the ball. The annoying part is that this must be the tenth rime this season hes done this when we've conceded. Was marking nobody at all for pretty much every bristol goal for example
Poor pass from Done but the goal was Wiseman's fault. He gave Kevin Davies too much space and failed to do the basics of marking him tightly. Hill admitted this afterwards and Wiseman himself suggested it was his fault during a post on Twitter after the game. People pointing out it was Wiseman's fault aren't being personal, they are just stating the obvious. For the record, I've been pleasantly surprised by Wiseman at centre half this season and think he's done an OK job. Nothing more, nothing less. I still think Foster is the club's best centre half but that's just my opinion. Today was a tough test for Wiseman and McNulty against arguably the best striker in the league. They struggled for most of the game but they must take credit for only conceding one goal and coming home with a brave point.
If he tweeted every time he made a mistake he'd never be off Twitter, I'd say he's been far from "OK" this season.
the problem we have is that we have 2 centre backs in Foster and Wiseman that are either hot or cold, never in between. you could even say the same for McNulty, although can't really judge as he's just come back. we're never going to attract a consistently good defender and we don't want a consistently sh!te one, so i'd be happy to just get a steady away, no nonsense defender or two in to fill the gap.
Time to have a run of games without Wiseman, and judge our form. Perhaps we may then realise he's quite good? Doubt it, like.
Re: Well according to Barnsley player I did see the goal....I was there at the game....I just couldn't positively say which of our central defenders was stood like a plonker leaving Davies in acres of space....having seen the FLS it was Scott....but that has been his trouble, an inability to do the simple thing like mark the striker.
