Just heard about it on the radio; sounded really bad. What kind of morons go and ambush other fans with iron bars. Disgraceful and nothing to do with football.

It would be interesting to hear what Platini would say if it had been the other way round and it had been Spurs fans attacking Lazio fans in London. It does seem to me that nothing ever gets done about the fans in Italy, Holland, Turkey, etc when it happens time and time again. And Rome is such a beautiful city too.

Probably to do with Lazio being a Facist club supported by Facists and playing Spurs...

Wasn't it Lazio that got fined after their fans abused Spurs' black players in the game at White Hart Lane?

Didn't know that, thought they were a friendly bunch when l stood on the Curva Nord, probably cause l was white. It was the game after the police killed one of their supporters an all, they did a protest and walked out of the ground after 15 mins.

Roma are proper nasty, heard some stories from Man U fans of them walking round in mobs of 500+ with bike helmets on clutching knives & baseball bats before games.

Ner mind though, Blatter, Platini don't notice it if its not in England.

Usually Roma fans, but it's ALWAYS in Rome. Leeds in 2000, Middlesbrough in 2006, Manchester United at least twice, Arsenal about three years ago and now Tottenham. People continue to make excuses for these incidents, saying 'oh, the English fans deserve it for the past hooligans', or 'the English would have been drunk and causing bother'. But here there are witnesses saying it was an unprovoked attack. If the tables were turned, said English side would be severly disciplined. Look when Man United fans had a pop at Roma a few years back in Manchester, complete crackdown on any trouble. But the powers that be will continue to overlook intimidation and trouble perpetuated by fans from Europe. Look at the ridiculously aggressive waiting party United were greeted with in Istanbul this week, put down as passionate fans. There's passion and then there's scum.
