He was surrounded by cardiff players, couldnt come for it.

One of our many toss defenders should have marked their players

Its a set play ST, defenders lose attackers all the time.
Now Luke steele seems think he should have come.

Not possible as Cardiff had around 5 men in our six yard box from corners and he was crowded out. We on the other hand, put no players in the opposition six yard box from corners, meaning that about half of them can be caught by the opposition keeper.

If you are excusing the way we defended those corners you're on crack. Having only seen them once live I didn't think Steele should have come, but even if it turns out he maybe could have come for the cross I don't think he should shoulder any real blame as the defending was atrocious.

Tyrone is on crack too. Those who say folk are on crack are usually on crack themselves, I'm on crack now. It helps with my spelling. Hemsworth doesn't do crack, but I think he drinks blood.

Peter Whittinghams delivery from a corner is usually spot-on ( particularly the inswinging one from his left foot). I'd noticed last week when we scored against Boro that we use a blocker on the keeper, Aaron Gunnerson in that instance, seems like it's a decent tactic.

As i've said before on here no keeper should ever conceed a goal within in his six yard box so I think he should have come collected it. That said just like last time he conceeded inside his own six yard box he was yet again the clear MOTM for me.

Luke kept it down to two yesterday and wasn't to blame at all for either of the two goals we did concede. Having said that Hill will probably drop him on Tuesday and try Wiseman in the nets.

How was he supposed to get through the Cardiff players in front of him?

Cardiff exploited our major weakness yesterday; they worked out that our defenders we wearing lead boots and couldn't jump so they stopped Steele from collecting high balls.
Our attacking players made more defensive headers from set pieces than our defenders did.

True. We look very weak and vulnerable to high balls without Foster in the back four.

Every season since we signed him Foster has taken some stick on here, much of it very unwarranted, yet when he does not play we are shocking at actually defending!! The lad must be doing something right!
Soon he will leave and the fools that deride him will be happy, then they will realise just how good he is, same with Hassell, every manager since he came has brought in a right back, none have ever kept him out of the side because they were better, only because the manager did not want to lose face, but eventually they have to admit they were wrong.
tyrone will eventually be right and Hassell will leave, but it will have taken 5 managers and 10 years for him to do so.

I completely agree Mark, I still think Hassell and Foster are two of the best defenders we have at the club, they certainly deserve to be in the team right now. Neither of them are outstanding at this level but both are good, solid, reliable defenders who do a good job. They would both be on my team sheet.
