Re: I have managed in my time to get You should know all about sliding down the league, getting that sinking feeling and keeping your head above the water then.
I've played football at the highest level in Spain and Italy winning league titles and domestic cup competions in both country's plus I'm champions league winner with Barcelona,I've also won the golden boot umpteen times,so theeeer. Am telling thi,I'm ******* **** hot on FIFA.
I didn't have you down as the sensitive type. My own inadequacy helps me recognise the greatness in others.
I haven't... However I can see for example that our set pieces are awful every week, not just the delivery but the plans. Cardiff had about 5 men in the six-yard box for every corner and stopped Steele coming out, meaning a good delivery gave them a great chance of scoring. We on the other hand, don't have one player in their six yard box from corners, meaning that a) keepers catch about half our corners and b) Even if we win a header it'll have to be cracker to beat 3 defenders in the six yard box and a keeper. Point? Keith (supposedly of superior footballing intelligence than me) has made no progress in this area all season. We never, ever look like scoring from corners, so what do they do in training? Why doesn't he try sticking Davies on the keeper and a centre half attacking both posts? Anyway, I'm not a pro so I'm probably wrong.
Sorry but I don't have to play for Real Madrid to see the constantly changing bizarreness on the pitch.
We've gone backwards to be fair. The set piece delivery was excellent earlier in the season, but we switched to short free kicks and corners for no obvious reason or benefit. In terms of the direct free kicks, Davies does even look like hitting the target, never mind scoring.
Re: I'll let the original poster He has said what he meant... Point is I sit near people who have never played sport in their lives , as with many on here, before some criticise others they ought to think 'what have I achieved in my life, have I put any effort into anything I've done & do really understand the game of football? '
So, An opinion isn't allowed to be expressed unless certain criteria (usually chosen unilaterally by an instigator) are met? Whether an individual's views have any credibility is at the discretion of each and every one of us to decide, irrespective of agreement to said opinion.
I used to train four nights a week, and play football competitively, twice a week. But I'm a woman, so I know nothing, and also, womens football, even at the highest level, is a joke. Just off to remove the chip on my shoulder.hehe. I agree some people talk as if they know everything, but there are plenty of people who have never played sport who know enough to be able to pass sensible comments. I'd guess that playing a higher level of sport may give you a good understanding, of how that sport works, but it doesn't invalidate other peoples opinions does it?
I'll read all of a thread first in future I feel a right pillock now! However, I stand by my point earlier. It is not up to anyone else to dictate to others what issues they can or can't express an opinion on.
why do you think all players have a talented right foot. i have a talented left foot only and i was a professional footballer in my youth played in 3rd division as it was and fourth. now whos the arsehole lol going back to op everyone has the right to an opinion at the game just that some havent a clue
