    Pannesar is like Barnsley. If face does not fit not played. Poor batsman and fielder but a good spin bowler. Should have been in first test

    Well hes just class isn't he. KP and Cook 22 hundreds with wally Hammond and Jeff Boycott. Both will go to the top with 23 plus.

    I agree about Cook HT, he's going to become a great player. I think the first test would have been closer if we'd had Monty playing but it's fine margins at test level. My mate is in India watching the second test, the jammy sod.

    I didn't post full stop during the first test.

    By the time I'd caught up on reading all the transfer rumours/signings, I was out of time. Plus, I don't start threads these days and nobody was posting about the cricket.

    Bet you'll be waking up and feeling happy this morning too. I watched tha last hour or so of play and actually enjoyed watching England play for once. It's not often you know that England are going to win!

    To be fair to SM, there were lots of questions being asked at the time about Cook's technique. His footwork was shocking, he didn't know how to play against the short ball, and he was almost falling over when trying to drive. Credit to him that he's sorted them out and become a genuine world class batsman.

    My mate who is in India for the second test used to play cricket to a pretty decent standard (Lancashire) and he knows people who know Boycott and they have said the same about him. If you have his respect he is fine, if you haven't he treats you like dirt.

    He comes out with Rubbish all the time and makes the area i'm from look bad IMO.

    His comments on depression of one of the players (think it was the spinner Tredwell) was shocking.
