Do you mean listen to? If so no its not your age, its more likely your generation because when I was a young un I used to love listening to football on the radio especially on Tuesday / Wednesday nights in bed on a little transistor radio but aside from the Match of the day, the FA and European Cup final and Midweek sports special there was no domestic football on television. This tune really takes me back http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0q3IIwoIl4Q&feature=related
I also struggle to football on my radio as it's too small and i might break it as i am 14 stone. However i might get my old subutteo stuff out of the loft and give that a try.
This thread is a prime example of why Hemsworth has every right to get the monk on and mouth off every now and again.
I used to love listening to the radio in the '70's For the live football, then watching the highlights later on Sportsnight With Coleman.
Re: I used to love listening to the radio in the '70's Top prog back then Sportsnight. "Truly remarkable".
Haha Dyson. It's ok. Think it would be quite sad if an adult couldn't take a bit of stick or criticism, wouldn't it? I'll certainly not be crying about it for sure.
Very few live matches in the footballing calendar back then The FA Cup Final, an odd England game and that was it.
Good attitude. And yes it is your age because i too struggle to gwt into it on the radio. I think its because these days we have so much technology that listening on the internet using only one sense doesnt have the same effect. In fact I find football on TV boring most of the time because it doesnt come close to the feeling of actually being at a game.
Re: Very few live matches in the footballing calendar back then But yer know we were happy in them days though we were poor.
But just try telling the kids about it . <img src ="http://images4.fanpop.com/image/photos/18500000/Four-Yorkshiremen-monty-python-18510864-1024-768.jpg">
Go on enlighten me as to why he is a first class dick ? If you are suggesting that it is because of everyone else , then I SUGGEST THAT YOUR PROTECTIVE WING IS GETTING FECKING DAFT!!
I always turn the volume down on sky games and put radio 5 on so I don't have to listen to that little Manc lovely person Gary Neville.
