Who is going to come and do better? Everyone knows teams should aim for consistency in managers but apparently this never applies to our own club. Once again, according to Radio Sheff, we played pretty well first half, hitting the post and forcing a class save from Almunia. Yes we need to work on the defence but lacks back KH to sort that out, with regards scoring goals the fact is you can't bring in quality without money which we don't have, regardless of the manager.
I've felt the same for a long time, however I'm running out of faith. How can anyone do any worse and if we carry on as we are then we are sure to go down. Hill has had all summer to sign a defender and failed and despite a recent flurry of loan signings he hasn't signed a defender. Maybe not sack him after today, but if nothing changes then it's a big possibility.
You don't need money to be organised. Mill wall are a similar club to ours in terms of resources. They aren't shipping goals in for fun.
Something has to change. There are no guarantees a new manager would improve us but we are getting worse under Hill Put bobby Hassell in charge.
If we need to work on the defence, why don't we work on signing some new defenders? I backed Keith Hill after the form post January as that was completely out of hands due to injuries and departures in my eyes. The form this season just hasn't been good enough, and combined with his continued comments in the media means to me it's probably time for him to go.
"who is going to come and do better" maybe Harry Hill, Benny Hill, Fanny Hill as it stands we are going down Hill.
So it's the manager by default then, just for the sake of change? I agree with the OP. Give me an alternative who will achieve better before demanding we sack the current one. I've tried asking before, and everyone found an excuse not to provide a name.
Who could do worse than no wins in nine? We have needed two centre halfs for his entire reign and he's done nowt. I like him as a person but he is taking us down.
Apart from the jammy signing of Vaz Te, and the fact he inherited Butterfield, Hill has done **** all at Barnsley.
I'm not going to advocate sacking the manager but I can't think of a less motivational leader in my time of watching the Reds. We've not been able to get any sort of points return after falling behind and half-time team talks don't appear to be working. He needs to start smashing some teacups before we get relegated.
How about Jan Aage Fjortoft? So many determined managers in the lower leagues that would jump at the chance of keeping a team not currently in the bottom three, out of the bottom three. That argument doesn't stick with me I'm afraid.
Im not saying we should sack Hill be was need a new center back, If Hill wont change that maybe a new manager will
I can understand people's frustrations but I stand by my views because fundamentally I don't think we're playing that badly, we certainly weren't second half on Tuesday night, it doesn't sound like we were today either. Yes Hill needs to sort the defence but can he be blamed for McNulty's recent poor form, he seemed to be doing o.k. last year, I would like to see some role for Hassell actually but the point I'm making is we are not 'awful' but just a little short of getting it together and in need of a bit of luck. At the moment it is fair to say we are going down but I just can't see that continuing the policy of the last decade and chopping and changing managers will help this.
Not awful? We are a lot worse. It's not just mcfaulty or wisemans lack of erm form but hills clueless
Hill has failed miserably he should go now. His experiment with ex-Rochdale and lower league players has failed. This guy has the worst points return of and manager we have had but yet people want to keep him why? The tea lady couldn't do any worse.
