disappointed that we conceded to yet another corner, but Watford are a good side this season, most would have been expecting a defeat today, not like we've got a great record there either. Looking at the list of teams in this league, hand on heart, we have no real right to be in this league, we are defying the odds every season, and despite todays defeat, as painful as it is, we are still out of the bottom 3. A little perspective please. Next two games arent easy either. But lets not write any obituarys yet, seasons not even half way.
This coming from that guy who slagged Mark Robins off to the hilt. Most fans would do anything to have him back. We won and were hard to beat with him. With Hill we lose and conceed **** loads. FACT. Full ****ing stop.
I agree in principle, however, I think hill has made a fundamental error in not signing two good quality centre halfs, or at least one and persisting with wiseman and mcnulty. I think we should give him until after Xmas.
Agree Let's see though if he addresses central defence - if that partic blindspot continues then there's only one conclusion. He wanted Greer in the summer - baffled similar hasn't been recruited since.
imo what manager would take this job as it stands now.who would come in to put what looks like almost certain relegation on their cv. i don't think it would be anyone who we would take to straight away so he'd be pushing uphill straight away, we are just above the drop zone only need the booers now to take us further.
Not panic? Are u having a giraffe! 6 wins since february time to go Benny then you can blame yourself and rightly so! We needed 2 centre backs in Jan and still the search goes on!
Im sure theres a story to be told and perhaps its taken him too long to realise who's able and who isnt, but there's time yet, regrettably but realistically, our aim is 4th bottom and the season isnt half way, he'll need to galvanise and focus and when alls been said, if we want to break this cycle, eventually we simply HAVE to stick with a manager beyond 18 months.
Thank you! Pretty much sums up my views perfectly, and it's good to see that there are others who can apply a bit of perspective to the situation. As for the comment down the thread saying that most of us want Robins back, just LOL at that. He refused to work under the constraints that Hill has, and opted to walk away, so hardly a fair comparison and not someone who'd be at the top of my list anymore!
The books beg to differ. The backing was still there from Cryne. Just like it was for your man you are still bitter about. And the tippy tappy football is boring me rigid.
No he did not!! He wanted time to re-asses his targets for the summer. But the decision had already been made that his time was up.
Yes we do, we won promotion and haven't been relegated since. We have as much right to be in this league as the other 23 teams involved.
