Worked wonders on a budget at Crewe

Im not one for sacking the manager, but Keiths record is pretty abysmal.

I would support that appointment no end.

Lower league managers don't work on long term contracts, so compensation would be minimal.

If we do change managers, I really don't want a failed 'big' name, I want enthusiasm, determination, and a winning mentality.

Isn't that what Keith brought with him from Rochdale?

I'd say so yes, but it doesn't mean I wouldn't go down that route again.

Reality is, despite form we're still not actually in the bottom three yet. If the season ended now I'd still see it as a slight achievement to have stayed up, and Keith's tenure a success. Same as Robins'.

Re: Steve Davis, Crewe - but why would he come?

Crewe are mid-table, 7 pts from the play-offs, and 8 above relegation zone.

What are we offering that would attract him here?

So what do you suggest? An expensive journeyman manager, which we can't afford?

Why does the fact that Davis gas worked on a budget at Crewe, mean he'll do a poor job

Didn't Keith work wonders with no budget at Rochdale.

Think no matter who the manager is we will struggle, the problem is for is a lack of fans. Which equals a lack of funds.

The club has a lot of problems at the min.

There's a lack of fans because of the awful results and the cost. The club can do something about the second thing more easily than the first

I also believe people have stopped going because of the general attitude these days at Oakwell; beat the bookies etc

Correct! thats whats stopped me going, better things to spend my money on. If BFC can't be arsed to aspire to anything better then i can't be arsed to pay through the turnstiles. I'm not a betting man but i reckon there's 2-3 thou feel exactly the same as me.

I think Watson might be settled with Norwich to be honest, as much as I'd love a young, ex Barnsley management team.

Wife and family from the area (Norwich).

He's also in with the England setup now, and will succeed Ray Clemence as England's goalkeeping coach, so would he risk that for an assistant manager job?

    Nice thought though.
