For people who've previously been staunch Keith supporters. It appears that a lot didn't go yesterday and as I didn't either I can only assume it was no worse than the majority of the last 42 games, so I'm interested know why yesterday's unsurprising defeat is the end for these posters?
Bringing in Championship quality players But seeing no discernible improvement in terms of performance and self belief within the team. Responsibility from individual players appears to be shirked at the drop of a hat. The confidence within the squad seems, understandably, extremely fragile. I make no apologies for standing by the manager and showing loyalty to Keith Hill and the players. I accept others view the situation differently to me and refuse to be disrespectful to people simply because their beliefs differ from mine. On the occasions we've played well and won this season, I've encouraged everyone to enjoy the victory and display and not lower themselves to snidey, condescending point scoring against fellow fans. Gloating and point scoring, in my opinion, deserves to be left behind in the junior school playground.
I have blindly defended Hill but this change of heart has been building over the last few weeks and yesterday was the final straw. Amongst my reasons there are: - we are now a soft touch home and away - Hill has brought in championship quality loan signings and we're just getting worse. - the fact that it's game over as soon as the opposition score. - Hill not being able to see the problems that most fans can see. - Hills stubborn refusal to address the problems with his favourite players. - His disgraceful treatment of Bobby Hassell.
All fair comments. I started losing faith in him when the bad run continued last season and he has done absolutely nothing this season to change my mind. Got to go for me.
He's had the chance to bring the players he wanted in, and we're not only still crap, we're even worse. His decisions are baffling, his team selection is strange to say the least. I just feel his thinking is muddled and he's lost the plot. That performance was as bad as it gets in the Championship. At some point you have to say enough is enough, and yesterday was that point.
