The longer we go without a victory the more the pressure will build, but if we brought a new manager in now he wouldn't be able to do anything in the transfer market until January anyway, be that a loan or permanent signing, as both windows are shut.

We've got five games before the end of the year. If Keith can pick up a couple of victories it will show that all is not lost and he should keep his job. If the winless streak continues then I think 14 games without a victory is probably enough to show he can't turn it around and he can't really have any complaints if we go with a new manager for the new year.

Five games to save his job is pressure in itself, but if the situation continues it can't go on for ever.

I don't fancy my chances of selling this argument if we lose the Wednesday home game though.

We'll lose the next two. The point against Burnley means we get zilch from the next 3.

5 more games without a win will be too late for us.

I want to see Keith turn it round, but you could argue that if someone comes in they should be allowed a run at the transfer window rather than brought in with insufficient time to assess the squad?

Can't agree I'm afraid. He's got 2 games for me.

We need at least 3 points from the next 2 games (including not getting beaten by the Owls). If we lose heavily at Leicester and show no improvement he's got to go then for me. If we beat Leicester then lose to Wednesday then I think he gets one more game. I've backed him from day one, but I'm struggling at the minute. I'm one of those 'happy clappers' that backs a manager to the hilt, did so with Davey til that Reading game when he was finally sacked so if I've lost faith in him then there can't be many that still have.

I'd like to agree Jay, but his record is abysmal and its only getting worse. He's not arrested last seasons closing form that was just as bad.

The trouble is its all muddled with the takeover talk, would anybody want to come if they thought we would end up with new owners who might want their own guy?

five games can make the difference between championship or league one football. 5 games to give a new manager a chance to see the squad, 8 wins in almost 12 month is in excusable , no more chances no more excuses you have posted your opinion this is mine

I think if we don't get 3 points on one of the next two games, or at least 2 creditible draws I think the pressure from the fans will be too much to turn things round.

That said, not one suggestion of a likely candidate that would take the job work with no financial backing has been made... If a takover did happen I still can't see a lot of money being injected, but it might change the position.

I'd say more a case of not being allowed to bring someone in if genuine talks are in progress.

Why are people insisting on saying nobody is putting a likely candidate forward? I've seen loads, so yes it has.

Steve Davis, Owen Coyle, Karl Robinson, Jan Aage, Steve Agnew ...... lots more promising managers from the lower leagues too without looking at big names who have failed to get a job over the last two years. Work is hard to come by at the moment. Dare I even suggest Danny Wilson?

8 wins in 42 games ..... who could do any worse than that?

Loads of people have mentioned possible replacements. You are obviously refusing to accept any could happen and work. But plenty of names been mentioned.

its all well and good giving it till jan,but if we dont pick up any points we've had it,we'll be purely relying on others to drop points.

If anyone mentions Danny Wilson's name again my head will explode.

Coyle is the only appealing one to me on your list & I don't think he would come.

They all have jobs, but even if they did take the job their CV's aren't as good as Keith's was before he took the job...

If Keith walked they would be the best we could hope for, but IMHO that ain't very good.

We've got to break the cycle of changing manager every other season

added to which he's probably the best option for getting us back up should we get relegated which to be honest the bookies eventually get it right, we cant keep being relegation favourites and defying the odds, with small crowds, no investment and general apathy, that ******** about being in Division 2 for more than most teams, those stats come from a bygone era of football, everything about us, ground, fanbase, board structure, general thinking has league 1 written all over it.

Break the cycle, stick with a manager beyond one season and have courage that the appointment was the right one in the first place please, Mr & Mrs Cryne.

i have to agree, unless of course a takover does happen, then keith may have to make way if new investors had a man in mind.... finances are the key to our plight
