I now no longer care if he's here or not on Monday morning. Here are some of the key reasons for my current feeling: . - I think he's lost the plot. I am reminded of the latter days of Spackman, and more recently Davey. Players selected no matter what, and often out of position. Key players ignored. Failing to address a clear issue in the squad. . - I no longer believe him. He has changed his tune so much I am as confused as the players seem to be. . - Stats can be dressed up in any which way you like, but I assume that even the greatest number cruncher would struggle to make Keith's record look anything other than horrendous. The amount of defeats is obviously key, but I have real trouble backing a manager who has used nearly 70 different players in his tenure and yet STILL can't pick a team that can come from behind to win a single game of league football. I just can't accept that. It shows a lack of motivation on his part, or points to the players not listening. Either way, it's a huge issue for me. . - The treatment of club legend Bobby Hassell is nothing short of disgraceful. And idiocy on the managers part. How many league games has Keith won? 17 I think. Well, Bobby has started 9 of them... and has the best game to win ratio of any player picked by Keith. Yet he tells us that Bobby is central to his plans (he was at home yesterday, putting the xmas tree up) but only as a midfielder. Then recruits another 2 midfielders, to go with the other 13. All whilst picking average full backs at centre half... you couldn't make it up. Nobody is suggesting Hassell is the answer to all our problems. But only the Keith supporters (not many of them anymore) would reckon that Bobby isn't a better option than the likes of Wiseman, McNulty, Cranie etc etc. . - A commanding presence at centre half, a leader, a proper unit, we have lacked since he walked into Oakwell. We are still no nearer to seeing one, despite the obvious need, and despite Keith seeming to agree on occasion. I am sick of seeing us bullied at the back. But he instead signs more midfielders/forwards, which in turn rules out the likes of JOB and RNL, unfairly IMO. . . They are just a few of my issues, but tbh, I could be here all night. The way we 'play' would take up a whole hour, easy. Pedestrian is my preferred adjective, followed by WEAK. Weak as ****. . And so yes, I have now lost all belief that I once had, in Keith Hill. It saddens me to say that. However, whilst I don't care whether he remains as manager, I am not 'yet' calling for a change. I say give it to the 15th, and if we then haven't got a victory against either Leicester or the Wednesday, I would say it's time for a change. I would remove him (he won't do the honest thing and resign) and give Ronnie Branson and Bobby Hassell the job on a caretaker basis until January, and then take it from there. I would love Bobby as manager. And yes he's no experience, but neither had Danny Wilson in 1994... UP THE TARN
Or man, i REALLY REALLY HOPE hassell plays next week. He better be as good as you lot are saying because i'll not pull any punches or sentences on the ability or failures of him in that match.
What you mean is if he makes one mistake you'll make a mountain out of a molehill. Pity you're not as keen to attack a player that isn't fit to lace Bobby's boots. NB. I agree with all your points YT in fact I've said pretty much the same in some other posts.
I really hope that I can meet you one day , face to face, because I may not pull any punches either, or sentences on the fecking idiotic bile that comes from your keyboard !
Will you be keeping the same council for when stones, crainie mcnulty goldbourne etc make continued errors? Or are you just on another tangential rant continuing your own narrow minded and very personal vendetta against someone who didn't say hi to you?
I really , really hope he plays because I think we really, really need him and his experience playing in our team. Hill says we need championship experience who in our squad has played more games at this level!!!
I could have gone to the game yesterday. Me and r lass fancied doing some shopping in London, taking the match in, make a weekend of it. However, I chose to take her out for a meal Friday night, cost us about £50. Saturday we did a bit of shopping in town, then went to McDonald's at Stairfoot whilst listening to the game in the car. We'd just left the drive-thru when Watford went ahead. We got home, I persisted in listening to the game while she had an hour on the sofa. I woke her up by cheering Tudgay's goal, as though we'd won the FA Cup. She assumed we'd won. We then ordered a takeaway, had a couple of drinks, 'we' watched reality TV, and then 'we' watched Tyson Fury. Fell asleep during MOTD. So only just got round to reading the BBS, and it comes to something when me, you (Mario), Mike Lowry and even Kev have all given up on King Keith. Think it says it all. . Oh, and I'm at work at 10pm - what a life.
Seriously get over it! You make yourself look more and more of a pillock with each utterance about Bobby.
Forgive me if I've misunderstood you But it wasn't that long ago when you claimed you never criticised Barnsley players? What has happened to that noble mantra? Surely, even if you don't particularly rate a specific Barnsley player, you still want them to succeed rather than fail? By all means, express an opinion or belief on a player's ability or contribution to the team. But keep in mind it is only an opinion, it is not a fact. Whether your views have any credence is for others to decide. From my own perspective, I hope any player brought into our line up plays well, whether I rate them or not. Surely success for the team is far more important to you than being proved right? I apologise if I've misinterpreted your views, but I'm baffled as to why you appear to attack Bobby Hassell with such personal venom. Were we talking about the likes of Marlon King, Stan Collymore, Lee Hughes & Luke McCormick then I could readily understand and appreciate your standpoint. Such inappropriate angst & aggression does you little credit and devalues any other views you may hold. I offer this purely from an objective, respectful, perhaps even Fatherly, viewpoint Phil.
And even if you do pull some punches and sentences (I have not got a clue what that means btw) I don't think it really matters anyway. Tbf you are a completely pointless individual and pretty irrelevant in the grand scheme of things; meaning whatever you think and post on here will not have any impact on what happens in the real world and will have zero influence on the person who reads your utter ******** anyway.
There should be an 'obnoxious young pillock' filter on here, disallowing them the ability to add posts to my threads. I have got to the stage now, where whenever I type the name Hassell, I fully expect a certain poster to take umbridge. Fcukin' pathetic, it is.
Can you block posters on this? I'm sick of reading hrmsworth tykes drivvle, its tedious. The lad has a serious problem.
